Malaysian luxury automobile manufacturer Bufori Motor Car Company has unveiled its latest creation, the CS8, an ultra-high performance Grand Tourer that the company describes as a “masterpiece of power, precision, and craftsmanship.” The launch, which took place during Malaysia’s Merdeka independence celebrations, was held in partnership with Affin Bank at Menara Affin @ TRX in Kuala Lumpur. The timing was deliberately chosen to highlight that the world-class vehicle is designed, engineered, and handcrafted entirely in Malaysia.

Bufori Motor Car Company has been crafting exclusive luxury automobiles for nearly four decades from its Kuala Lumpur base. The company specialises in handmade vehicles built by master craftsmen to international standards and approved for global markets. Each Bufori vehicle is bespoke and made to order, reflecting the individual requirements and personality of its owner.

The CS8 launch represents a significant milestone for the Malaysian automotive industry, demonstrating the country’s capability to produce world-class luxury performance vehicles. The partnership with Affin Bank, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2025, further emphasises the collaboration between established Malaysian institutions in bringing this ultra-high performance Grand Tourer to market.

The CS8 is powered by a front mid-mounted 6.4-litre supercharged V8 engine that produces 810 horsepower (750 wheel horsepower). Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a high-performance 8-speed paddle-shift transmission, designed to provide seamless gear changes for both relaxed cruising and spirited driving.

The vehicle features a Carbon-Kevlar monocoque body that combines advanced engineering with lightweight construction. With a curb weight starting at 1,550 kg, the CS8 achieves a 25% weight distribution over each corner, supported by adaptive multi-link front and rear suspension systems tuned for precise cornering and long-distance comfort.

High-performance components include Michelin tyres for enhanced grip in wet and dry conditions, and Brembo 6-piston monobloc callipers for exceptional braking performance.

The interior showcases luxury craftsmanship with electrically adjustable Recaro bucket seats wrapped in premium leather and exposed structural carbon-fibre panels. The cabin combines traditional artisanal techniques with cutting-edge materials to create what the company describes as a contemporary yet timeless environment.

As with all Bufori vehicles, the CS8 is made entirely to order, allowing complete customisation of specifications including bespoke paint finishes, hand-stitched upholstery, and personally selected trim materials.
