Glenfiddich Unveils Limited Edition 16-Year-Old Whisky in Celebration of Partnership with Aston Martin Formula One™ Team

Glenfiddich has released a limited edition 16-year-old single malt Scotch whisky to commemorate its ongoing partnership with the Aston Martin Formula One™ Team. The exclusive bottling, available in Malaysia from September with a recommended retail price of RM523.90, represents the convergence of precision motorsport engineering and traditional whisky craftsmanship.

The World’s Most Awarded Single Malt Scotch Whisky brand announced the release yesterday, highlighting the shared values of precision and intuition between the Scottish distillery and the Formula One team. The limited edition whisky has been crafted using a carefully selected marriage of American oak wine casks, new American barrels, and second-fill bourbon casks.

The resulting single malt features distinctive notes of maple syrup and caramelised ginger, with what the distillery describes as a silky palate of fresh fruit salad and Chantilly cream. The finish is characterised as both smooth and bold, embodying what Glenfiddich describes as “a quality that eludes precise measurement, much like the intuitive connection between a driver and their car.”

The partnership between the Speyside distillery and Aston Martin Formula One™ Team was first announced in November 2024, launching at the Las Vegas Grand Prix. The collaboration brings together two brands recognised for their heritage, innovation, and pursuit of excellence.

In Malaysia, the partnership extends beyond the limited edition release through Club 1959, a series of exclusive experiences named after the year Aston Martin first entered Grand Prix racing and an ultra-rare 65-year-old Glenfiddich 1959 release. The initiative combines elite motorsport precision with fine whisky artistry in what the company describes as “a singular experience of refined taste.”

The first Club 1959 event will take place at Whisky House KL on 10 September 2025, where guests will be among the first in Malaysia to taste the limited edition whisky. The experience will include immersive racing simulator sessions and high-speed reflex challenges. Additional Club 1959 events are planned throughout the campaign period, with details to be announced on Glenfiddich’s official website.

The Glenfiddich & Aston Martin Formula One™ Team 16-Year-Old Limited Edition will be available in Malaysia from September 2025.
