Samsung Malaysia officially launched its latest Galaxy Z Series smartphones and Galaxy Watch8 series on 16 July 2025 at their immersive roadshow held at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, marking another milestone in the company’s foldable technology journey. The Galaxy Unfolds roadshow, which began on 16 July and runs until 20 July 2025, offers Malaysian consumers their first hands-on experience with the Galaxy Z Fold7, Galaxy Z Flip7, and the new Galaxy Watch8 series. The event celebrates the evolution of Samsung’s foldable technology since the Galaxy Z Series debut in 2019.

Charles Kim, President of Samsung Malaysia Electronics, unveiled the devices alongside senior executives including Matthew Ng, Head of Mobile eXperience Business, Elaine Soh, Chief Marketing Officer, and Kevin Kim Taehoon, Business Director of Mobile eXperience Business. The launch featured a fashion show with models showcasing the devices in celestial and interstellar-themed outfits, with Korean model and actor Lee Soo-hyuk making a special appearance to the delight of hundreds of excited fans.

The roadshow also featured prominent content creators sharing their experiences with the latest Galaxy devices. Tech influencer Umar Naqshbandi from Product Nation, YouTuber Jinnyboy, and lifestyle creator Mekyun demonstrated how Galaxy AI and Gemini Live have enhanced their productivity and creativity workflows.

The creators highlighted how Samsung’s AI integration has become essential for boosting productivity, enhancing creative processes, and streamlining wellness routines, showcasing real-world applications of the technology.

The roadshow features five distinct zones designed to demonstrate the practical applications of Samsung’s latest devices:

The Wall of Innovation traces Samsung’s foldable evolution from early prototypes to the current Galaxy Z Fold7 and Z Flip7, featuring the new Armor FlexHinge technology and enhanced Galaxy AI capabilities.

AI Health Zone showcases the Galaxy Watch8 series’ wellness features, including new Antioxidant Scan and Vascular Load functions. Visitors can interact with Gemini Live to create personalized workout plans based on real-time health data.

AI-Powered Productivity Zone demonstrates the Galaxy Z Fold7’s multitasking capabilities, featuring Gemini Live integration and Note Assist functionality optimised for the device’s expansive foldable screen.

SmartThings AI Zone presents Samsung’s connected ecosystem, allowing visitors to experience voice-controlled home automation and meal planning through Gemini Live integration.

Personalisation Station offers customisation options with various accessories, colours, and Galaxy Watch8 bands, emphasising individual expression through technology.

The roadshow emphasises Samsung’s ecosystem approach, demonstrating how Galaxy devices integrate with SmartThings technology and various home appliances. The integration of Gemini Live across the product range represents Samsung’s commitment to AI-powered user experiences.

Samsung’s foldable devices now feature enhanced durability with the new Armor FlexHinge design, while maintaining the company’s focus on AI-enhanced productivity and creativity tools. The Galaxy Z Series has evolved from experimental technology to become a core component of Samsung’s flagship lineup.

Samsung has announced pre-order availability from 9 – 31 July 2025, with the Galaxy Z Series starting at RM3,999. The Galaxy Z Fold7 is priced from RM7,799 for the 12GB+256GB variant, while the Galaxy Z Flip7 starts at RM4,999 for the 12GB+256GB model. A new Galaxy Z Flip7 FE variant, exclusive to online channels, is available from RM3,999.

The Galaxy Watch8 series ranges from RM1,299 for the 40mm WiFi model to RM3,399 for the Galaxy Watch Ultra (2025) with LTE connectivity. Pre-order customers can enjoy various incentives including registration benefits, Samsung Reservation+ rewards, double storage upgrades, and CIMB card rebates.

Enhanced trade-in programs offer rebates up to RM200 for watch purchases, while Galaxy Watch8 customers receive complimentary fabric or sport bands worth RM159. The premium Galaxy Watch Ultra includes additional accessories valued at over RM750, including a Trail Band, Galaxy SmartTag2, power adapter, and 10,000mAh battery pack.
