Park Hyatt Kuala Lumpur Opens in August 2025

Malaysia’s hospitality landscape is set to reach new heights with the opening of Park Hyatt Kuala Lumpur in August 2025, marking the debut of the prestigious Park Hyatt brand in the country. The luxury hotel will occupy the top floors of Merdeka 118, the tallest skyscraper in Asia Pacific, offering discerning global travellers an unparalleled “home in the sky” experience.

Park Hyatt Kuala Lumpur will join a prestigious portfolio of 47 Park Hyatt hotels worldwide, spanning locations from Abu Dhabi to Zurich. The brand is known for providing discerning global travellers with quietly confident and personalised service in enriching environments, featuring well-appointed guestrooms, world-renowned artwork and design, and rare culinary experiences.

The hotel has appointed Herman Kemp as General Manager, bringing over 20 years of hospitality experience to the role. Kemp’s journey into hospitality began with inspiration from his parents’ passion for the industry. “I was drawn to the energy, the diversity, and the opportunity to curate personalised experiences for people,” Kemp recalls.

A graduate of Hotelschool The Hague, Kemp has spent nearly a decade with Hyatt Hotels Corporation, holding key positions across the group’s most prestigious properties. His leadership philosophy centers on human connection.

“Hospitality is about people. It is about understanding their needs, anticipating their desires, and exceeding their expectations. This philosophy drives everything we do at Park Hyatt Kuala Lumpur. Having been a global traveller for many years, Malaysia now feels like home, and I am excited for my journey with Park Hyatt Kuala Lumpur. The hotel epitomises luxury with an impeccable blend of sophisticated elegance and personalised services along with breathtaking views. From the moment of arrival, every detail is thoughtfully curated to provide an unparalleled level of comfort and indulgence, making each stay a truly memorable experience.”
