Bombardier’s flagship Global 7500 aircraft has achieved another milestone, setting a new speed record on the Montreal-Paris route while carrying passengers and cargo during regular operations. The business jet completed the journey from Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport to Paris-Le Bourget Airport in 5 hours and 30 minutes, reaching speeds exceeding 1,000 km/hr.
The record flight took place as Bombardier prepares for its participation in the International Paris Air Show, where the company will showcase its capabilities through Bombardier Defense.
“The Global 7500 performs at the highest levels across the board, in real-world situations. Bombardier takes great pride in completing meaningful speed records, like this latest one, during regular day-to-day operations with passengers, baggage and cargo, setting it apart from peers. As we are getting ready for the entry into service of the Global 8000 aircraft later this year, the Global 7500 aircraft keeps demonstrating its superiority on all fronts, from its signature smooth ride to its industry-leading performance and landing capabilities.”
Éric Martel, President and CEO of Bombardier
This latest achievement brings the Global 7500’s record count to over 100, reinforcing its position as a leading business aircraft. The aircraft recently reclaimed the speed record from Paris to Montreal, completing that route in under six hours. Among its notable accomplishments is setting the record for the longest mission ever flown by a purpose-built business jet, covering 8,225 nautical miles non-stop from Sydney to Detroit.
The Global 7500 offers a maximum range of 7,700 nautical miles and features a spacious cabin with four distinct living spaces, including a full-size kitchen. The aircraft’s design emphasises customisation options to meet individual customer preferences, while state-of-the-art connectivity and ergonomic seating create an environment suited for both productivity and relaxation during long-haul flights.
Bombardier Begins Landmark Deliveries of Three Challenger 3500 Aircraft to Aloula Aviation
Bombardier has begun delivering three Challenger 3500 aircraft to Aloula Aviation, marking the first time the business jet model has been registered in Saudi Arabia. The delivery represents a significant milestone for the best-selling aircraft in the Middle Eastern market.
The Canadian aerospace manufacturer announced the deliveries from Paris on June 19, highlighting the global expansion of its Challenger 3500 program.
