Luxury travel brand TUMI unveiled its Spring/Summer 2025 Collection at an exclusive event in Kuala Lumpur on 18 February 2025, marking both the new season and the company’s 50th anniversary with a celebration rooted in Peruvian culture.
The launch event, held at Torito in Banyan Tree Kuala Lumpur, brought together notable personalities including Danny Ahboy, Alicia Amin, Hakken Ryou, Koe Yeet, Aedy Ashraf, and Venice Min. Randy Wong, General Manager of TUMI Southeast Asia, hosted the evening, which featured a multi-sensory experience showcasing the brand’s latest innovations.
The Spring/Summer 2025 Collection pays homage to Peru, where TUMI’s story began, incorporating elements of the country’s landscapes, artisanal heritage, and adventurous spirit. The collection features striking colourways including Lagoon, Lavender, Denim Blue, Red/Lime Chameleon, and Iridescent Dusk—a shade inspired by the multi-dimensional tones of Andean textiles.
Guests explored themed zones highlighting different aspects of the collection. The Travel Zone showcased the 19 Degree Lite collection, which TUMI bills as its lightest hardside luggage yet. Featuring a durable Tegris® shell, an ultra-light magnesium telescopic handle, and streamlined zipper pulls, the collection debuts in new seasonal hues of Cobalt Blue and Amber.
The Men’s Collection Zone featured the Alpha Bravo line’s rugged designs, with pieces including the Navigation Backpack, Liaison Tote, Nomadic Backpack, and Platoon Sling in Red/Lime Chameleon and Black Onyx colourways. The Harrison Collection introduced sophisticated options in Navy Woven and Black Bombe leather.
The Women’s Collection Zone presented the latest Voyageur silhouettes, including the Evora Mini Hobo, Celina Backpack, and Lima Medium Tote in Natural/Sand.
To emphasise the collection’s connection to Peru, the event featured a Peruvian Coffee Tasting Bar highlighting the country’s renowned coffee culture. Chef Ivan Casusol prepared a specially curated menu reflecting TUMI’s theme of blending heritage with modern design.
Interactive elements included a personalised name engraving station where attendees could customise 19 Degree Card Cases. One guest won a TUMI 19 Degree Lite Carry-On through a lucky draw. DJ Ashley Lau provided entertainment throughout the evening.
“The Spring/Summer 2025 Collection is about movement—through cultures, landscapes, and experiences. To celebrate TUMI’s 50th anniversary, we have honoured our brand’s origins by infusing Peru’s heritage into our designs while maintaining TUMI’s signature innovation and craftsmanship. From the evolution of our 19 Degree Lite to the refreshed silhouettes of Alpha Bravo and Voyageur, we continue to redefine travel essentials, ensuring every journey is effortless and inspired.”
