In a notable collaboration marking its 35th anniversary, Swiss watchmaker Luminox has partnered with Malaysian design house Phyn Studio to create an exclusive limited-edition timepiece that bridges innovative watchmaking with Southeast Asian cultural elements.

The collaboration showcases Luminox’s technical prowess while incorporating Phyn Studio’s contemporary design approach. The new timepiece features a distinctive world map dial highlighting Malaysia, Singapore, and Brunei—the three markets where these exclusive watches will be available. The dial’s design incorporates hour markers that vary in size to represent the transition between day and night, paying homage to Luminox’s Latin-derived name meaning “light” and “night.” Sunray patterns across the dial draw inspiration from the three nations’ flags, symbolizing unity and peace.

The watch’s caseback design takes inspiration from Malaysian coin detailing, transforming the timepiece into a modern collectible. Available in silver and rose gold colorways—an homage to traditional silver and copper coins—the watch maintains Luminox’s reputation for durability with its 44mm CARBONOX™ case and unidirectional bezel. The design follows the iconic “turtle shape” characteristic of Luminox’s popular Leatherback Sea Turtle collection.

Technical specifications include a Swiss Quartz movement ‘RONDA 515’, Super-LumiNova® bezel light at 12 o’clock, and eight signature Luminox Light Technology gas tubes ensuring visibility in any lighting condition. The watch features a black waterproof rubber strap and boasts water resistance up to 100 meters.

The timepiece continues Luminox’s tradition of creating reliable tools for law enforcement, elite military units, and emergency responders while breaking new ground in design. Priced at RM 2,150, the watches will be available at select Parkson, SOGO outlets, and authorized retailers across Malaysia.
