Chivas Celebrates Hustle Culture with I RISE, WE RISE Event in Kuala Lumpur

For the third consecutive year, Chivas I RISE, WE RISE brought an electrifying wave of energy to Jiospace in Petaling Jaya on 2 November. This year’s event celebrated the subcultures that drive modern hustle and success, honoring those who forge their own paths in fashion, music, and mixology.

The event reflected Chivas’ longstanding belief that success is a collective journey, not an individual one. This philosophy was at the heart of I RISE, WE RISE, creating a movement where ambition, collaboration, and mutual support are paramount.

Now in its third edition, I RISE, WE RISE focused on subcultures thriving at the intersection of creativity and ambition. Inspired by underground movements, the event showcased unfiltered creativity, uniting raw talent in fashion, music, and mixology. This year’s experience highlighted Chivas’ values of authenticity, inclusivity, and creativity.

The evening offered an immersive experience, with attendees enjoying performances from international DJs Liu, WUKONG, and DJ Sally, alongside local talents Mr Yang, Jovynn, and Teera Oliviae. A standout moment was the Sounds of Chivas performance, featuring the ELECOLDXHOT dance crew, vocalist Elva Suyan, DJ Joleen, and the RFXBO Orchestra, combining orchestral grandeur with dynamic DJ beats to celebrate hustle culture and emerging trends.

Chivas partnered with notable names to create a space inspired by the I RISE, WE RISE philosophy. Collaborations included Shawn Tan from local streetwear brand AGAINST LAB, Jason Julian of Soma Cocktail Bar, and Maria Escobia from Penrose Kuala Lumpur. Each contributed their unique interpretations of the movement—AGAINST LAB with a limited-edition collection and Jason and Maria with special Chivas XV cocktails.

The I RISE, WE RISE movement is rooted in community, reflecting Chivas’ belief that success is a shared journey. This year’s event highlighted the power of collective elevation, spotlighting the next generation of hustlers who carve their own paths with courage and creativity.

At the heart of the celebration was Chivas XV, a blend of the finest Chivas 15-year-old whiskies. Known for its bold flavour and smooth sophistication, Chivas XV complemented the event’s spirit perfectly, creating an elevated experience for all attendees.
