Impiana KLCC Hotel recently announced an exciting culinary refresh at Cedar, its signature rooftop restaurant. The new menu was crafted under the direction of Executive Sous Chef Jonathan Heng, offering guests a sophisticated blend of traditional techniques and contemporary Western cuisine.
Chef Jonathan Heng, the culinary mastermind behind the new menu at Cedar, brings a refined touch to Western cuisine with his extensive expertise and innovative flair. Previously holding a pivotal role at EQ Hotel, Chef Heng is known for his exceptional skill in creating sophisticated dishes that showcase modern culinary techniques.
Located on the 15th floor of Impiana KLCC, Cedar on 15 offers diners a setting that combines fine dining with a view of KLCC and surrounding areas. The restaurant features both an elegant indoor dining area and a scenic outdoor bar terrace with panoramic views of the iconic PETRONAS Twin Towers.

The carefully curated new menu showcases Chef Heng’s culinary expertise through a selection of meticulously crafted dishes. Appetizer selections begin with the exquisite Hokkaido Scallop Tartare (RM88), a delicate preparation featuring the freshest scallops paired with Ajoblanco (a traditional Spanish chilled almond soup) and crowned with luxurious Oscietra caviar. The dish creates a harmonious balance between creamy and briny flavours, setting an impressive tone for the dining experience.
Another standout starter is the Crispy Shrimp (RM68), which features perfectly crisped shrimp served on a bed of fresh lettuce with a zesty Kaffir lime mayo and a garnish of ebiko (fish roe). The combination of crunchy textures and vibrant, citrusy flavours makes for a refreshing beginning to any meal.
Seafood enthusiasts will appreciate the Grilled Spanish Octopus (RM98), which showcases tender, expertly grilled octopus accompanied by baby potatoes, a lemon herb vinaigrette, and spicy merguez sausage. This Mediterranean-inspired dish balances the octopus’s natural flavours with complementary ingredients.
For those seeking luxury, the Pan-Seared Duck Liver (Foie Gras) at RM88 offers the ultimate indulgence. Served with a rich French Puy Lentils Ragout and complemented by a tangy apple gel, this dish pairs the sumptuous texture of foie gras with earthy lentils and subtle sweetness.
Pasta options include the comforting Rigatoni al Salmone (RM58), featuring smoked salmon enveloped in a velvety tomato cream sauce and topped with freshly grated Parmesan cheese. The dish combines the smoky richness of salmon with a creamy, tomato-based sauce for a satisfying main course.
The pinnacle of the menu is undoubtedly the Australian Wagyu Striploin MB7 (RM305), a premium cut served with truffle mashed potatoes, broccolini, and a sumptuous morel cream sauce. This exceptional dish highlights the marbling and flavour of high-quality Wagyu beef, complemented by earthy morel mushrooms and luxurious truffle-infused potatoes.
To conclude the dining experience, the Basque Burnt Cheesecake (RM38) offers a perfect finale. This Spanish-inspired dessert features a caramelized exterior that gives way to a rich, creamy interior, served with light Chantilly cream for balance.
Operating from 5:00 PM to 1:00 AM daily (closed on Mondays), Cedar on 15 invites both locals and international visitors to immerse themselves in a memorable dining atmosphere that combines luxury with the best of Kuala Lumpur’s skyline. The restaurant’s reopening with this new menu marks an exciting new chapter for the venue.
