Hyatt Hotels Corporation is set to introduce Hyatt Centric City Centre Kuala Lumpur, marking the brand’s debut in Peninsula Malaysia. Scheduled to open in the fourth quarter of 2024, this 21-story hotel will be the second Hyatt Centric location in the country, following the successful launch in Kota Kinabalu. The new hotel is poised to elevate the luxury hospitality landscape in Malaysia’s capital.
Strategically positioned in the heart of Kuala Lumpur’s Golden Triangle and central business district, the new hotel will offer guests convenient access to the city’s iconic landmarks, including the Petronas Twin Towers (KLCC) and KL Tower. This prime location is expected to appeal to urban explorers and business travellers keen on experiencing the vibrant blend of modern and traditional influences that define Kuala Lumpur.
Owned by Hap Seng Consolidated Bhd, the hotel will feature 312 thoughtfully designed rooms, each reflecting the city’s evolution from a tin mining town to a bustling metropolis. The interiors, conceptualized by Silverfox Studios, will showcase a mix of bold lines and earth tones, complemented by striking artwork from local graffiti artist Jefr.

“We wanted to do something different and take what we love most in Kuala Lumpur and share them with our guests in a fun, more engaging way. We are your kawan, your local bestie to co-create shareable moments through our diverse hotel offerings that capture the life of the community around us. Our hotel will offer our guests everything they need to relax and recharge before they head out to explore the city. We want them to feel comfortable to experience what it’s like to be a local in this city and ignite a sense of curiosity to visit places not usually listed on tourist maps.”
Chikako Shimizu, General Manager of Hyatt Centric City Centre Kuala Lumpur
Culinary enthusiasts will be pleased with the hotel’s three distinct dining concepts. IL Forno, an Italian trattoria, will serve fresh, handmade pasta and pizzas. TanBuri will offer authentic Tandoori dishes in donburi style, while @21, a rooftop pool bar and lounge, will provide signature drinks with a local twist. These venues will be helmed by Executive Chef Vincenzo Carbone and Director of Food & Beverage Operations Davide Brescianini.
The hotel is now accepting bookings, with exclusive offers available for World of Hyatt members and an “Explore the C” opening package that includes daily breakfasts, a Hop-On Hop-Off bus day tour, and bonus points.
As Hyatt Centric City Centre Kuala Lumpur prepares to welcome guests, it’s also on the lookout for talent. The hotel is currently recruiting individuals ready for a new adventure to join its team.
