Lotus Cars Malaysia recently launched its first flagship store in Kuala Lumpur, marking a significant milestone in the brand’s expansion across the country. The grand opening was highlighted by the official launch of the all-new, fully-electric Lotus Emeya Hyper-GT.
The new flagship store, spanning 1,765 sq ft with a 987 sq ft main showroom, represents Lotus’ commitment to growth in Malaysia. This state-of-the-art facility complements the existing Lotus Store at Pavilion Damansara Heights, which opened earlier this year in February.
Lotus Kuala Lumpur boasts two custom delivery bays, a luxurious customer lounge, a dedicated merchandising area, and a special configurator room. This unique space allows customers to personalize every aspect of their Lotus, from exterior and interior preferences to high-performance components and safety features.

The star of the show, the Emeya, is Lotus’ first electric, four-door Hyper-GT. Built from the ground up, it embodies the brand’s 75-year legacy in motorsports and innovation, promising an unparalleled driving experience. The Emeya is offered in three distinct variants, with prices starting from RM555,000.
The top-tier Emeya R model boasts impressive performance, accelerating from 0-100km/h in just 2.8 seconds, positioning it among the world’s fastest electric GTs.
Also introduced was the all-new Emira Turbo, a mid-engined premium sports car developed on a lightweight bonded aluminium chassis. This technology, pioneered by Lotus, remains a core part of the company’s sports car DNA. The Emira Turbo’s design draws clear inspiration from the Evija, featuring bold and sculpted lines.
Powered by a cutting-edge, 360 hp (365 PS) mid-mounted engine, the Emira is now the most powerful four-cylinder Lotus sports car ever produced. It’s paired with an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT) for quick, smooth shifts. The Emira Turbo can sprint from 0-100km/h in 4.4 seconds and reach a top speed of 290km/h. It’s priced at RM509,000, excluding import duties, insurance, and road tax.

The new flagship store offers customers the option to enhance their Lotus with the Dynamic Handling Pack, featuring 4-wheel steer capabilities. Additional driving aids such as the Parking Pack and Highway Assist Pack are also available.
This launch event not only showcases Lotus’ latest innovations but also underscores the brand’s commitment to the Malaysian market. As Lotus continues to expand its presence, car enthusiasts and potential buyers can look forward to experiencing the brand’s unique blend of performance, technology, and design firsthand at the new Kuala Lumpur flagship store.

The Emeya showcases Lotus’ commitment to performance and innovation in the electric age. It features a full-time all-wheel drive system with intelligent torque distribution, setting new standards in the GT segment for handling and ride comfort. An advanced air suspension system adjusts 1,000 times per second, ensuring optimal control and comfort.
Power comes from a dual-motor setup, with output ranging from 603 hp to 905 hp depending on the variant. Torque figures span from 710 Nm to 985 Nm. The Emeya can reach speeds over 250km/h, with the base model accelerating from 0-100km/h in 4.2 seconds. The high-performance Emeya R cuts this time to under 2.78 seconds, making it one of the world’s fastest electric GTs.
Lotus has incorporated several aerodynamic features to enhance performance and efficiency. These include an active front grille, first seen on the Eletre SUV, which reduces drag when closed and aids cooling when open. An active air dam increases downforce at high speeds, while a motorsport-inspired rear diffuser smooths airflow underneath the car.
The Emeya’s design combines these performance elements with a low center of gravity, resulting in what Lotus calls a ‘hyperstance’. This configuration provides exceptional stability and sets new benchmarks for ride and handling in the GT segment.
With the launch of the Emeya, Lotus continues to push the boundaries of electric vehicle performance. The brand’s racing heritage is evident in the car’s design and engineering, promising an exhilarating driving experience that stays true to Lotus’ ‘For The Drivers’ philosophy.
Lotus Cars Malaysia announced the pricing for its new all-electric Emeya Hyper-GT. The base Emeya model starts at RM555,000, while the Emeya S is priced at RM643,000. The range-topping Emeya R comes in at RM777,000.
These prices are on-the-road excluding road tax and insurance, and are valid only for Peninsular Malaysia. All Emeya variants come with a five-year or 150,000km manufacturer’s warranty, with the battery covered for eight years or 200,000km.

As Lotus expands its presence in Malaysia with new showrooms and models, the Emeya represents a bold step into the future of high-performance electric vehicles. It offers Malaysian enthusiasts a chance to experience Lotus’ unique blend of speed, handling, and cutting-edge technology in a luxurious GT package.
The Emeya boasts a cutting-edge dual-layer active rear spoiler, generating over 215kg of downforce for exceptional stability at high speeds. Eight strategically placed vents optimize airflow, enhancing aerodynamics, performance, and range while cooling critical components.
Depending on the variant, the Emeya offers a maximum WLTP range of 610km. When connected to a 350kW DC fast charger, it can add 150km of range in just five minutes. The car can charge from 10% to 80% in only 18 minutes, ensuring minimal downtime during long journeys.
The Emeya comes packed with intelligent features for a safer and more engaging driving experience. It provides real-time road information and a comprehensive suite of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). Drivers can access crucial data through a state-of-the-art 55-inch augmented reality (AR) head-up display, offering seamless connectivity and enhanced awareness.
Lotus has prioritized sustainability in the Emeya’s design, using eco-friendly materials like repurposed fashion industry fibers, PVD aluminum, Alcantara, Nappa leather, and sustainably sourced Ultrafabrics PU. These choices not only reduce the car’s carbon footprint but also contribute to weight savings.
The interior strikes a balance between minimalism and functionality, featuring an intelligent cockpit and intuitive infotainment system. The Emeya is equipped with a premium audio system from KEF, incorporating their award-winning Uni-Q™ speaker design and Uni-Core™ subwoofer technology. The Dolby Atmos-enabled 3D surround sound creates an immersive audio experience.
To further enhance the cabin ambiance, the Emeya employs Road Noise Cancellation (RNC) technology. Vibration sensors on the vehicle body detect tire and suspension movements, while algorithms generate anti-phase acoustic signals through the speakers to counteract external noise. This results in a serene interior environment and a high-fidelity audio experience.
The Emeya’s combination of advanced technology, sustainable materials, and performance-oriented design showcases Lotus’ commitment to innovation in the electric vehicle market. As the brand continues to expand its presence in Malaysia, the Emeya stands as a testament to Lotus’ ability to blend luxury, performance, and sustainability in a cutting-edge electric GT package.

Lotus Cars Malaysia has unveiled a new entry-level variant of the Eletre, priced at RM598,800. This move aims to attract buyers considering the switch to an all-electric hyper SUV at a more accessible price point. The new Eletre model still allows for customization and upgrades.
The base Eletre boasts impressive performance figures, with a single-speed system delivering 603 hp and 710 Nm of torque. It accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 4.5 seconds, reaches a top speed of 258 km/h, and offers a maximum WLTP driving range of 600 km.
