To celebrate the upcoming Mid-Autumn Festival, InterContinental Kuala Lumpur has unveiled their “Mystic Delight” collection, featuring a delectable assortment of mooncakes. This year’s collection boasts 10 unique mooncake flavours, including three new creations, all crafted by Master Dim Sum Chef Lo Tian Sion, who brings 30 years of experience to the table.

The mooncakes are available in both baked and snow skin varieties, presented in two festive gift boxes: the Mystic Radiance Lantern Box and the Mystic Splendour Premium Box. The Mystic Radiance box includes an LED tea light candle that transforms the box into a beautiful lantern, illuminating homes with a warm glow. The artistic design on both gift boxes is particularly noteworthy. InterContinental Kuala Lumpur partnered with the Mouth & Foot Painting Artists Association (MFPA) to showcase the work of Mohd Khairuddin Bin Che Rani, a talented footpainter. Che Rani’s artwork, titled “Strong Light,” is an homage to Chinese culture. It reflects his childhood spent in Kelantan surrounded by Chinese friends and neighbors, as well as his love for Chinese television shows. The piece serves as a beautiful representation of Malaysia’s diverse cultural landscape.

Che Rani’s story is one of remarkable resilience. Despite being born without arms, he mastered the art of using his feet to create stunning paintings on various mediums. His work has been exhibited widely, including at the prestigious Market Place for Creative Art showcase during the 6th World Islamic Economic Forum.

This collaboration with the MFPA aligns with InterContinental Kuala Lumpur’s “Journey to Tomorrow” commitment, which emphasizes sustainable practices and community engagement. The hotel aims to integrate social responsibility and environmental consciousness into all its operations.
