The Miss Universe Malaysia Organization (MUMO) announced a significant shift in its entry requirements for the prestigious Miss Universe Malaysia pageant on 4 July 2024. In the press conference held at MYEG Tower, National Director Eleen Yong unveiled a new era of inclusivity for the competition by removing the upper age limit and extending invitations to married, divorced, and mothers.
This transformative decision marks a departure from previous restrictions that limited participation to single, unmarried women aged 28 or under. MUMO is proud to be at the forefront of this evolution, demonstrating its commitment to listening to the Malaysian public and fostering a more representative platform that celebrates diversity and empowerment.
Miss Universe Malaysia provides an unparalleled opportunity for ambitious Malaysian women to showcase their talents, intelligence, and beauty while advocating for causes they are passionate about. The winner will proudly represent Malaysia on the global Miss Universe stage. By expanding eligibility, MUMO aims to create a pageant that reflects the rich tapestry of Malaysian women and their diverse experiences.

“We are excited to introduce fresh concepts that will elevate this prestigious event to new heights. Our vision is to empower and celebrate the incredible women of Malaysia, showcasing their talents, intelligence, and beauty on a global stage. We believe in the power of this platform to transform lives and inspire future generations.”
