
Perched 58 floors above Kuala Lumpur, the Horizon Grill at Banyan Tree offers a unique perspective for a leisurely Sunday roast. We recently got to experience their Sunday Roast (lunch set), a delectable spread designed for sharing.







The centerpiece of the roast is a dry-aged Australian sirloin, a cut renowned for its tenderness and rich flavour. This 500g masterpiece undergoes a meticulous dry-aging process, concentrating its flavour and creating an exceptionally juicy and satisfying eating experience.


Complementing the sirloin is a selection of accompaniments that elevate the entire dish. A classic Caesar salad provides a refreshing counterpoint, its crisp romaine lettuce and tangy dressing offering a welcome contrast to the richness of the meat. Homemade Yorkshire puddings, light and airy with a hint of golden crispness, add a delightful textural element and soak up the flavorful juices.



Roasted vegetables, showcasing the season’s bounty, add vibrant colours and a delightful range of textures. Savoury beef salami introduces a touch of saltiness and depth, while creamy spinach provides a comforting earthiness to the plate.
Two distinct sauces further enhance the flavour profile. A rich peppercorn sauce offers a subtle heat and complex peppery notes, while chimichurri, a vibrant Argentinian sauce with fresh herbs and garlic, adds a touch of zest and cuts through the richness of the meal.

To conclude this delightful culinary journey, a simply but enjoyable dessert featuring vanilla ice cream and Valrhona chocolate was served. The smooth, creamy ice cream with its contrasting yet complementary dark chocolate provided a sweet end to the meal.
