The Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur is gearing up for a month-long celebration of culinary artistry with the return of their #DinewithChef series this May 2024. This annual event, first launched in 2023, brings together food enthusiasts and culinary talents to create a unique festival of global flavours.
This year’s #DinewithChef series promises to be even grander, featuring collaborations between the head chefs of Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur, Park Hyatt Kuala Lumpur, and Hyatt Centric City Centre Kuala Lumpur, alongside guest chefs from Indonesia, Poland, Japan, and Malaysia. Diners can expect a whirlwind of gastronomic experiences showcasing a variety of cuisines throughout May, with events taking place across the hotel’s diverse dining venues, including the well-known THIRTY8 and JPeter’s restaurants, the semi-alfresco POOLHOUSE, and the newly opened event space on Level 5 (a full calendar of events is available in Appendix 1).
Leading the charge is Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur’s Executive Chef, Grzegorz Odolak (Chef Greg). A seasoned Hyatt veteran with over 20 years of culinary experience across the globe, Chef Greg is passionate about sourcing ingredients thoughtfully and serving them with meticulous care. He is committed to both culinary excellence and sustainability, collaborating with local eco-conscious suppliers like Cultiveat to make Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur a hub for innovative and responsible dining.
“As passionate food enthusiasts and culinary creatives, we’re always looking for new ways to share the knowledge and experiences we’ve learnt with our guests and partners. The 2024 #DinewithChef series serves as a way for us to showcase the amazing and diverse team of chefs that Hyatt has pulled together in Kuala Lumpur — our homage to a city that is vibrant, modern and gastronomically adventurous. Each of us brings a different perspective to food and dining and this series really looks to expose our guests to new flavours and broaden their perspectives. Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur has always been a place where guests can come to experience different ways to relax, enjoy, and discover. We hope that through the 2024 #DinewithChef series, our guests can learn about food from diverse cultures and grow to appreciate the standard of local and international cuisine that we celebrate at our hotel.”

Joining the lineup are Executive Chef Stig Drageide and Executive Pastry Chef Holger Deh, who will present a special menu offering a glimpse into the culinary artistry soon to be unveiled at the upcoming Park Hyatt Kuala Lumpur. Chef Stig, a native of Norway, boasts an impressive career spanning renowned establishments like Bagatelle (formerly a two-Michelin-starred restaurant), Hyatt Hotels worldwide, and Hotel Continental in Norway. Similarly, Chef Holger, a German-born pastry chef with a dedicated following, brings a wealth of experience from prestigious establishments like Rosewood Hong Kong, The Datai Langkawi, and Restaurant Haerlin (which received a Michelin star within two years).
Rounding out the star-studded cast is Executive Chef Vincenzo Carbone (Chef Enzo) from Hyatt Centric City Centre Kuala Lumpur. With over 30 years of experience across the globe, Chef Enzo brings a unique perspective to Italian cuisine, honed through his work in restaurants like CAPO (Shanghai), Mamma mia! (in multiple locations), and PiPa (Istanbul). Through the #DinewithChef series, Chef Enzo will offer a taste of what’s to come at the soon-to-debut Hyatt Centric City Centre Kuala Lumpur.
The 2024 #DinewithChef series promises to be a culinary adventure not to be missed. Whether you’re a seasoned foodie or simply enjoy a delicious and diverse dining experience, Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur invites you to join them for a month of unforgettable flavour explorations.
