Chery proudly unveiled its first electric vehicle in Malaysia, the OMODA E5, at a launch ceremony in Kuala Lumpur on 6 March 2024. This landmark launch signifies a significant step towards promoting sustainable green mobility in Malaysia and offering a safe and innovative driving experience to consumers.

The OMODA E5 transcends the definition of a mere electric car; it embodies Chery’s unwavering commitment to sustainability and technological advancement, aiming to revolutionize how Malaysians perceive transportation. The launch ceremony, graced by esteemed figures like Deputy Prime Minister YAB Dato’ Sri Haji Fadillah Bin Haji Yusof and Chinese ambassador Mr Ouyang Yujing, further emphasized the significance of this event.

Chery Malaysia also revealed highly anticipated details regarding the pricing and comprehensive package offered to OMODA E5 owners. The car comes in four captivating colours namely Aqua Green, Khaki White, Phantom Grey and Dark Black, and is priced at RM 146,800. This includes an extensive warranty package, complimentary charging facilities, and exclusive benefits for the first 2000 bookings, such as a wall box charger, V2L (Vehicle-to-Load) charger, and charging credits worth RM1000 at EVC roaming partners.

Additionally, a partnership with EVC provides hassle-free autocharge services, while Maybank will be offering a low 2.08% interest rate during the promotional period. This comprehensive launch package worth more than RM11,000 underscores Chery’s commitment to brand excellence and quality for the OMODA E5.
