In a move solidifying their commitment to electric driving, BMW Malaysia recently unveiled the refreshed iterations of the BMW iX xDrive50 Sport and the BMW iX M60. These aren’t just cosmetic changes – both electric vehicles pack significant upgrades in charging technology and exhilarating performance, making them even more attractive options for the discerning driver seeking a luxurious electric experience.

A key highlight is the inclusion of AC Charging Professional as standard equipment on both vehicles. This introduces a new 22 kW charging capability, dramatically reducing charging times. Whether you’re charging at home or utilizing a public AC charger, a full charge from 0 to 100% can now be achieved in under 5 hours and 30 minutes. This is a significant improvement over previous models and offers greater convenience for daily use.

Of course, the option for high-power DC charging of up to 195 kW remains available, allowing you to top up the battery from 0 to 80% in a mere 35 minutes – perfect for those longer journeys. Recognizing the importance of a robust charging infrastructure, BMW Malaysia has also partnered with various local EV charging providers. This collaboration grants BMW iX owners access to over 1,700 charging stations across the nation, ensuring peace of mind and eliminating range anxiety.

The BMW iX xDrive50 Sport doesn’t disappoint when it comes to performance. It boasts an impressive maximum output of 523 horsepower, capable of propelling the vehicle from 0 to 100 km/h in a lightning-fast 4.6 seconds with launch control activated. This exhilarating acceleration is paired with an impressive electric range of up to 630 kilometers (WLTP), making it ideal for both spirited drives and longer commutes.

The BMW iX M60 takes things a step further. Its optimized dual-motor configuration delivers a combined output of a staggering 619 horsepower, translating to an electric range of up to 561 kilometers (WLTP). But the true magic lies in the 1,100 Nm of torque unleashed with launch control, propelling the car from 0 to 100 km/h in a mind-blowing 3.8 seconds. This is a true testament to BMW’s engineering prowess, offering exhilarating performance without sacrificing efficiency.

Both the xDrive50 Sport and the M60 now come equipped with dual-axle air suspension as standard.
