Gulfstream G700 Shatters 50 City-Pair Speed Records, Showcasing Impressive Performance and Efficiency
The Gulfstream G700 recently achieved an impressive milestone: surpassing 50 city-pair speed records while on its journey to the Singapore Airshow.
This accomplishment highlights the aircraft’s capabilities for both speed and efficiency. Notably, the G700 set its 50th record while flying a carbon-neutral route from Los Angeles to Nice, France. Crossing 5,197 nautical miles (9,625 kilometers) in just 10 hours and 13 minutes, it averaged a speed of Mach 0.90. Similarly, its 51st record-breaking flight – from Nice to Singapore – achieved a Mach 0.90 average speed over 5,754 nautical miles (10,656 kilometers), completing the journey in 11 hours and 30 minutes, again with carbon-neutral operations.
These achievements build upon the success of a previous record set in December 2023. The G700 conquered the Tokyo-to-Savannah route in 10 hours and 53 minutes, covering 6,365 nautical miles (11,788 kilometers) at an average speed of Mach 0.91.
These record-breaking performances demonstrate the Gulfstream G700’s ability to deliver fast, efficient journeys, making it a compelling choice for discerning travellers seeking unmatched performance and sustainability.
“These latest records once again prove that the G700 can help our customers reach their destinations faster. We are excited to return to the Singapore Airshow as we continue to see impressive business growth in the Asia-Pacific region. Demand for Gulfstream’s high- performance capabilities has never been greater, and we look forward to showcasing our next- generation aircraft, which lead the industry in innovation, performance and cabin comfort.”
