The Macallan announced a collaboration with Stella and Mary McCartney, who share a curiosity, respect, and admiration for nature. Stella and Mary collaborated with The Macallan to create the third edition of The Harmony Collection, a limited annual release series that highlights the brand’s intrinsic inquisitive, imaginative, and creative spirit. The third release in The Harmony Collection acknowledges Scotland’s lands and the people who have lived there for millennia.

The Macallan Harmony Collection Amber Meadow is the third installment in the annual release series, and it was inspired by the McCartney sisters’ love of Scotland, which derives from their childhood memories of the Scottish countryside. To further emphasise this profound connection to the land, the presentation boxes and bottle labels were constructed from discarded meadow cuttings, embracing the re-use of natural materials to create beauty from resources nearing the end of their lives.

The Macallan Whisky Mastery Team was inspired by the natural Scottish grasslands to create the unique, limited-edition whisky, which was aged in sherry-seasoned oak and bourbon casks.

The 100% natural summer evening colour derived from our exceptional sherry seasoned oak and bourbon casks reflects the richness of the flavour which awaits. On the nose fresh citrus fruits and honeysuckle are complemented by hints of vanilla, coconut and ripe barley fields. On tasting, notes of oak, lemon, melon are prominent, accompanied by flavours of classic scone and almond with green tea, before giving way to a rich and sweet long finish.”

The one-of-a-kind collaboration also focuses on a Collection of lifestyle pieces. The partnership with The Macallan is a first for Stella and Mary, and it commemorates the McCartney sisters’ creative union. This debut joint initiative brings together their creative talents to showcase their memories of Scotland.

TOGETHER: A Collection for The Macallan by Stella and Mary McCartney introduces a limited-edition Collection of 11 lifestyle pieces designed by the sisters and skilfully realised by master artisans and craftspeople.

The Collection features a curated selection of bespoke pieces such as handmade glassware in vibrant shades coloured with natural minerals, an ombre ceramic flask encased in an apple leather alternative sleeve, a pair of brass ice stamps with meticulously hand-painted ceramic handles in a green and amber ombre colour blend, and a brass serviette weight in the shape of an acorn, as a tribute to the exceptional oak casks that mature The Macallan whisky.

The Macallan Harmony Collection Amber Meadow will be available for purchase at The Chamber, Cellar 18 and GAIA Johor from 8 January 2024 onwards.

To celebrate the launch of this latest collection and partnership, The Macallan is conducting a one-of-a-kind consumer experience event titled “The Macallan Harmony Collection Experience, Inspired by Nature” at The Starhill KL’s Entrance Lobby. The event will be open to the public from 10 to 21 January 2024, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Participants will have the opportunity to sample the limited-edition collection and learn more about the expression.

Additionally, curated cocktails with The Macallan Harmony Collection Amber Meadow are also available for tasting at the selected establishments in Kuala Lumpur and Johor Bahru from 8 January to 29 February 2024 and in Penang from 26 February to 30 April 2024.
