Luminox announces the launch of the new Bear Grylls Survival Mountain 3730 Series, which includes four new watches—one of which is a special limited edition—building on their collaboration with well-known survivalist and brand ambassador Edward Michael ‘Bear’ Grylls. Luminox derived inspiration for this series from one of Grylls’s first adventures, which was his 1998 ascent of Mount Everest.

New integrated straps which appear “seamlessly connected” to the case make their debut with this collection. They come in black, green, or the limited-edition blue colour. The chapter ring and case back are engraved with the Bear Grylls mantra, “Never Give Up,” to serve as a constant reminder to follow your spirit of adventure. The dial’s numbers have a unique contour that gives the impression of being raised, adding a modest yet striking touch that elevates the overall style of the watch. Cardinal directions are marked on the bezel, which was designed with explorers in mind. The three standard models have a 43mm CarbonoxTM with the distinctive Bear orange crown and a black dial with the outer rings available in orange, green, or sand.

The historic ascent of Mount Everest by Grylls to its summit is also being commemorated this year on its 25th anniversary. As a part of the new 3730 Mountain series, Luminox will be releasing a limited edition to commemorate this incredible accomplishment. This watch commemorates one of Grylls’ first notable accomplishments, which he completed at the age of just 23—becoming the youngest Briton to complete the ascent—just 18 months after suffering a broken back in a parachuting accident.

In keeping with the colours of the Nepali flag, the limited-edition model has an eye-catching white dial, a deep blue band, and a red crown. Mount Everest itself is adorned on the case back, and the chapter ring bears the summit’s elevation, “8848M.” Luminox is set to release only 800 units of the Bear Grylls Limited Edition Mountain timepiece globally. Last but not least, the limited edition is ideal for the tough explorer since it comes with a detachable bull bar that is meant to further safeguard the crystal. 

The Bear Grylls Mountain 3730 Series is built to survive descents to 200 metres below sea level or ascents to the highest peaks. Luminox Light Technology, the brands’ lighting system, ensures that every watch remains visible for up to 25 years in any lighting situation.
