Senja at The Saujana Hotel presents a 4-course tasting menu curated by Chef Selvendran, showcasing the diverse flavours and techniques of Italian cuisine. Senja provides a welcoming, romantic and classy atmosphere and a culinary journey through the diverse flavours of Italy. This menu highlights fresh, seasonal ingredients that allow diners to experience the regional nuances of Italian gastronomy.

The menu begins with a Panzanella, a classic Tuscan salad featuring juicy tomatoes, crisp greens, red onion, cucumber, and fragrant herbs like basil and oregano. This light and refreshing appetizer sets the stage for the culinary journey ahead.

Following the Panzanella is the Zuppa Di Funghi, a creamy mushroom soup with a rich and earthy depth. This comforting dish embodies the warmth and heartiness often associated with Italian cooking.

For the main course, two distinct options showcase Chef Selvendran’s culinary expertise. The Branzino al Vapore presents a sea bass fillet served with basil mashed potato, capers, and a vibrant tomato essence. This dish exemplifies Italian simplicity, allowing the fresh ingredients to shine through.

Alternatively, the Pollo Di Petto offers a grilled chicken breast infused with the luxurious flavour of truffles. Accompanied by seasonal vegetables and truffle mashed potato, this dish presents a more simple take on Italian cuisine.

The tasting menu concludes with the Panna Cotta Con Frutti di Bosco, a slow-cooked double-cream dessert infused with the sweet and tart flavours of forest berries. This light and refreshing finale provides a sweet end to the culinary journey.

After dinner, we headed to RP which is the hotel’s all-in-one entertainment centre with a main island bar, dance floor, whisky bar, cigar lounge, pool room, as well as alfresco seating areas
We enjoyed some beers and cocktails while watching the live band performance which really rocked with classics from yesteryear as it was retro music night
We also tried out RP’s signature pizza which was topped with tortilla chips!
