Glenfiddich unveiled its annual limited-edition Chinese New Year gift packs designed by Shanghai-based illustrator, Yixin Zeng – known for his vibrant, expressive and detailed style of painting.

The design features the iconic Glenfiddich Stag (Fu Lu 福鹿) which represents wealth, prosperity and longevity in Chinese culture. On the pack, the magnificent Stag takes centre stage amidst a fantastical scene rich with texture, vibrant festive patterns and colourful elements surrounding its antlers – each detailing the series of journeys that come together to create an extraordinary Chinese New Year.

“Every Chinese New Year is a meaningful celebration for many around the world. For us at Glenfiddich, the synergy and significance that our brand icon has with the festival is very meaningful. We are excited to partner with acclaimed illustrator, Yixin Zeng, whose bold and effervescent style is just what we were looking for to bring this year’s limited edition Chinese New Year gift packs to life. From the first drop of our single malt Scotch whisky to the last, we want to invite friends of Glenfiddich to embark on this auspicious journey into the extraordinary.”

Each gift pack comes with a bottle of Glenfiddich’s exceptional single malt Scotch whisky, skillfully crafted by Malt Master Brian Kinsman. Starting with the Reserva Rum Cask 21 Year Old pack, the aged whisky is finished in Caribbean rum-soaked casks, where it is infused with a spicy warmth and indulgent vanilla and toffee sweetness.

“I’m honoured to partner with Glenfiddich for its 2023 limited edition Lunar New Year gift pack design. My artwork takes inspiration from the vibrancy of Lunar New Year celebrations and my experience as a traveller, artist and conceptualist. On the pack, we can see the Royal Stag sitting proudly at its heart amidst a festive wonderland with prosperous elements, such as a Chinese dragon, Chinese crane, feathers and fish, as well as fireworks. I also paid tribute to Glenfiddich by incorporating playful details to discover. The design, coupled with a bottle of the world’s most awarded Single Malt Scotch Whisky, was ideated to create a truly extraordinary moment in each pack.”
