BMW Malaysia announced the commencement of pre-booking on 7 April 2022 for the First-Ever BMW i4 eDrive40 M Sport in Malaysia, after its unveiling at NEXTGen Malaysia in January this year.

With a classic rear-wheel drive layout, the First-Ever BMW i4 eDrive40 M Sport combines a progressive design with superior aerodynamics, electrifying dynamic performance and comfort. Its current-excited synchronous motor generates a maximum output of 250 kW/340 hp and a peak torque of 430 Nm, which allows for a century sprint time of just 5.7 seconds.
Superior efficiency provides sustainable and carbon-neutral driving on daily commutes, and also has an electric range for long journeys (590 km based on the WLTP cycle). In between drives, the fifth-generation BMW eDrive system is compatible with the latest charging technology. Its Combined Charging Unit (CCU) with built-in 4 kW voltage transformer has been designed to enable extremely flexible battery charging – compatible with a domestic power socket or a BMW i Wallbox (an 11-kW AC charger fully charges the vehicle in just 8 hours 15 minutes), as well as DC fast chargers (a 200-kW DC charger charges the vehicle from 10 per cent to 80 per cent in just 31 minutes).
The First-Ever BMW i4 eDrive40 is equipped with the M Sport package. The M Aerodynamics exterior has a front profile that features the iconic BMW Laserlights with Automatic High-beam Control. On the side are the 19-inch M Aerodynamic Wheels 860 M Bicolour with staggered widths, M Sport brakes, as well as M High-gloss Shadow Line.
For the interior, the cabin of the First-Ever BMW i4 eDrive40 M Sport is furnished with the Aluminium Rhombicle Anthracite Interior Trim, M Anthracite Headliner, M Leather Steering Wheel and an instrument panel in Sensatec. Functional features for comfort include variable sports steering, electric seat adjusters with memory function, the Interior and Exterior Mirror Package, as well as automatic air conditioning. For added convenience, also included are automatic tailgate operation, comfort access system, through-load system, and the Storage Compartment Package.
As standard, the First-Ever BMW i4 eDrive40 M Sport is equipped with the BMW Live Cockpit Professional, BMW ConnectedDrive Services, BMW Connected Package Professional I, Intelligent Emergency Call, Teleservices, Smartphone Integration, 17-speaker Harman Kardon surround system, as well as storage for wireless charging.
Safety systems include Acoustic Protection for Pedestrians, Active Protection for Pedestrians, Driving Assistant Professional, Parking Assistant Plus and Active Protection.
The First-Ever BMW i4 eDrive40 M Sport will be available in the exterior colours of Black Sapphire, Mineral White and Dravit Grey in its first selection, with additional exterior colours of Sanremo Green, M Portimao Blue and M Brooklyn Grey (which will replace Dravit Grey later in the year). Interior upholstering is available in Black, Mocha and Tacora Red Leather Vernasca.
With the Easy Drive Financing Plan from BMW Group Financial Services Malaysia, the First-Ever BMW i4 eDrive40 M Sport can be owned with a monthly instalment plan starting from RM 4,306.00 (based on estimates of an 80% loan on a five-year tenure).
The retail pricing (on the road, without insurance) for the First-Ever BMW i4 eDrive40 M Sport with Extended Warranty & Service Package is RM 389,800.00
