During my recent visit to MoonBar at DC Restaurant in Taman Tun Dr. Ismail, Kuala Lumpur for some after-dinner drinks, Executive Chef and owner of DC Restaurant Darren Chin proudly presented me with a tour of the latest addition to his establishment, the LOUIS XIII Room, located on the 2nd floor of the restaurant.
This first of its kind LOUIS XIII Room is a luxurious setting that exudes the culture that expresses the French art of living. Comprising of the Private Dining Room, The Library and The Locker, it exudes elegance on all occasions, from the most casual to the most formal. It serves as a place for those who seek to be one step ahead; with a taste for excellence and are able to appreciate the history, heritage and craftsmanship while embracing the avant-garde.

At the LOUIS XIII Room, a unique menu is consciously designed to reveal the layered facets and dimensions of LOUIS XIII. No effort was spared during the process of pairing the finest ingredients that will respond to each other to reveal the aromatic complexity of the LOUIS XIII cognac. This culminates in an exquisite menu masterfully curated by Chef Darren Chin for those who value the importance of taking the time to savour and sense.

Every inch of the room was meticulously designed to transport guests on a journey of sensations and emotions through a gastronomy experience. The LOUIS XIII Room even has 15 private lockers for guests to store their LOUIS XIII. The LOUIS XIII lockers can be purchased and named with an engraved nameplate and owners are able to access their personalised lockers and decanters at any time while dining in.
Set to be the pinnacle of fine dining in Malaysia, the LOUIS XIII Room will reward those seeking out the most exclusive and exquisite gourmet experiences. This is a pairing made in heaven, featuring the splendid LOUIS XIII Cognac, an exquisite blend of up to 1,200 eaux-de-vie sourced 100% from Grande Champagne at what is recognised by the industry and diners alike as the best restaurant in the country.
