“No Time to Die” is James Bond’s 9^th film with OMEGA, which sees the titular hero of the movie, James Bond on a mission to rescue a kidnapped scientist, which turns out to be far more treacherous than expected.

On-screen, fans can spot three OMEGA watches worn by the movie heroes. James Bond (Daniel Craig) wears the lightweight Seamaster Diver 300M 007 Edition, which is packed with innovation and style. New agent Nomi (Lashana Lynch) wears a 38mm Seamaster Aqua Terra with a black dial and black NATO strap, while Moneypenny (Naomie Harris) is equipped with a 27.4mm De Ville Prestige on a hunter green leather strap.

OMEGA remained in close contact with Daniel Craig and the filmmakers during the creation of this unique watch. Craig’s influence and advice played a big role in the final design, and his knowledge of James Bond was critical in creating a suitable timepiece for the spy.

The OMEGA Seamaster DIVER 300M CO‑AXIAL MASTER CHRONOMETER 42 MM007 Edition is identical to 007’s watch in No Time To Die, with strong yet lightweight Grade 2 Titanium, a brown tropical aluminium bezel ring and dial.

The “tropical” brown dial and bezel ring are both made from aluminium. These elements have been given a classic look, thanks to the vintage Super-LumiNova, which fills the diving scale, blackened hands and indexes.

Slightly slimmer than the standard Diver 300M models thanks to the doming of the sapphire-crystal glass, it is presented on a Grade 2 Titanium mesh bracelet with innovative adjustable buckle.

Grade 2 Titanium has been used for the 42 mm case and titanium mesh bracelet, making this watch particularly strong and light.

Titanium alloys are light, corrosion-resistant, biochemically inert and able to withstand extreme temperatures. These properties make them particularly appropriate for products in the aircraft, spacecraft and medical sectors. They achieve the perfect balance between solidity, corrosion-resistance and workability. Grade 2 titanium offers a dim grey colour and suits mostly “brushed” finished pieces. It has featured in a number of OMEGA timepieces used for sport and space exploration, where light reflections should be avoided.

Aluminium has the advantage of being a truly lightweight material used for decorative components. Through anodisation, it offers an extensive range of colours for the creation of eye-catching watch parts such as bezel rings, applied elements on the dial, and hands. In particular, OMEGA’s special anodisation process has achieved aluminium bezel rings that are nearly double as hard as regular versions, therefore making them more resistant to outer damage.

OMEGA uses synthetic sapphire crystal with a highly scratch-resistant and anti-reflective treatment. Before the machining and finishing processes take place, the sapphire crystals are produced under the Verneuil process, also called flame fusion. It involves the melting of the raw substance using oxyhydrogen flame and the crystallisation of the melted droplets to form a cylinder. Graded 9 on the Mohs-hardness scale (graded 1-10), the resulting sapphire crystals are virtually scratch-proof and very hard, ensuring an unhindered vision at all times.

The 007-edition Diver is powered by OMEGA’s Co-Axial Master Chronometer 8806, which has achieved the industry’s highest standards of precision, chronometric performance – and of course – magnetic resistance.
