OPPO Launches the OPPO Reno6 Series 5G in Malaysia

OPPO announced the launch of the latest addition to the Reno Series, the Reno6 Z 5G and Reno6 5G, in Malaysia on 5 August 2021. The Reno6 Series 5G continues the Reno series’ imaging capabilities while taking the portraiture experience a step further with enhanced AI capabilities and an intuitive user interface.

Both the Reno6 Z 5G and Reno6 5G offer powerful photo and video taking capabilities that are complemented by smart AI algorithms. Both devices feature a triple-camera setup on the back, including a 64MP main camera, plus a 32MP selfie camera on the front. Based on this hardware foundation, the Reno6 5G and Reno6 Z 5G have multiple AI-enhanced portrait video features:

Portrait Beautification Video on the devices can perform subtle and natural edits for portrait videos to improve appearances. With state-of-the-art AI algorithms, it can remove one’s unwanted skin blemishes while retaining natural features to highlight individuality. With the ability to recognise up to 193 different facial points in video mode, beauty effects can be applied with better precision and authenticity.
To deal with blurry, out-of-focus image problems, Focus Tracking is introduced in this series, enabling enhanced video auto-focusing by identifying and automatically tracking main subjects consistently and steadily.

Bokeh Flare Portrait is available on both Reno6 Z 5G and Reno6 5G. With this feature, Reno6 Z 5G is able to capture dream-like portraits with bokeh light effects. Available on both the front and rear cameras, it automatically transforms background lights in bokeh light spots and brightens portrait subjects. While for Reno6 5G, this feature provides a pioneering cinematic quality bokeh effect for smartphone video. Powered by OPPO’s over-10-million portrait dataset and AI algorithms, Bokeh Flare Portrait Video delivers real-time video processing to capture portrait videos with bokeh light spots on the background, all while keeping the portrait subjects appearing natural and bright. Available on both the front and rear cameras as well.

Meanwhile, the Dual-view Video on the Reno6 Z 5G allows users to use both the front and rear cameras simultaneously, resulting in two perspectives within the same frame in videos.

The Reno6 5G is the first phone on the market to feature MediaTek’s latest 5G-integrated SoC, the Dimensity 900, built on a 6nm processor, while the Reno6 Z 5G is powered by the octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 800U 5G SoC.

Both devices run on 8GB of RAM, and support OPPO’s new RAM Expansion technology, which allows 2GB/3GB/5GB of storage space to be used as additional RAM in the event 8GB of RAM proves to be insufficient.

In terms of battery, the Reno6 5G runs on a 4,300mAh battery that supports 65W SuperVOOC 2.0, while the Reno6 Z 5G runs on a 4,310mAh battery that supports 30W VOOC Flash Charge 4.0; the Reno6 5G can be charged to 100% in just 28 minutes, while the Reno6 Z 5G requires 49 minutes for a full charge.

The 6.4-inch AMOLED display is paired with 360-degree Light-Sensing enabled by two sensors, which improve the accuracy of auto-brightness adjustments, making the viewing experience more comfortable even from different angles. The screen is also SGS Eye Care Display Certificated as a “low-blue light screen”. Moreover, Reno6 5G also comes with Netflix HD and Amazon Prime Video HD Certification, allowing users to experience streaming content in even greater detail.

OPPO has also optimised the Reno6 5G to support a more immersive gaming experience. When entering the virtual world of mobile gaming, the detailed and expressive tactile feedback of vibrations with the Z-axis linear motor will draw you into the game. Customized gaming features like Quick Startup, Game Focus Mode, and OPPO’s own Hyper Boost 4.0 technology all contribute to creating a more immersive experience.

As for the Reno6 Z 5G, overall performance is boosted thanks to System Booster, a set of system-level optimisation tools designed to ensure a smooth experience throughout the phone’s entire lifecycle. Moreover, Multi-cooling System is also introduced for better heat dissipation and to prevent the phone from overheating.

Both the Reno6 Z 5G and Reno6 5G come with ColorOS11, the Android-based mobile OS designed by OPPO that provides greater efficiency, smoothness, and strengthened privacy.

Featuring the one-and-only OPPO Reno Glow, both models come in two new colours: Aurora and Stellar Black. The Reno6 5G comes in a ultra-slim retro design with a thickness of 7.59mm and weighs only 182g. The Reno6 Z 5G weighs 173g and has a thickness of 7.97mm (Aurora) or 7.92mm (Stellar Black).

OPPO Enco Air — The World’s First True Wireless Earphones with a High-Performance/Low Latency Certificate from TÜV Rheinland

Alongside the launch of the OPPO Reno6 5G Series, OPPO also unveiled its latest addition to the OPPO Enco line – the new OPPO Enco Air True Wireless Earphones that comes with semi-translucent design, high-quality audio, convenient touch controls, and user-focused features.

OPPO Enco Air continues the Enco series’ signature curvature design that’s streamlined and smooth. The case’s matte finish adds a layer of tactile texture that feels premium to hold. On its upper body is a semi-translucent design. It’s available in Misty White and Misty Black.

The OPPO Enco Air is built with special bass-enhancing ducts and 12 mm composite titanium drivers, the earphones are designed to deliver a balanced combination of thick, strong bass and pristine midrange to treble tones, designed to provide users a more detailed, authentic, and high-quality audio experience.
