The Fire Grill TTDI

The Fire Grill in Taman Tun Dr. Ismail, Kuala Lumpur, will be having a “Valentine’s Dinner and Comedy” this 14th February 2020, presented by The Fire Grill in partnership with Crackhouse Comedy Club KL.

Enjoy a chic and contemporary 3-course dinner this Valentine’s day, before moving on to a night filled with love and laughter at the Crackhouse Comedy Club KL. This special offering is priced at RM180++ per person (which includes a ticket each, to the show).

The Fire Grill is an Asian inspired grill with a thoughtful menu of great food, and an eclectic selection of drinks, all presented in a beautifully curated space. The bar carries Carlsberg, Asahi and Connors as well as Brooklyn Brewery’s IPA and lager variants on tap, as well as a selection of wines, liquors, and an extensive selection of gins at the gin bar.

First Course (choice of)

A very refreshing little starter with a rich Malaysian twist – coconut cream/ santan, as well as crispy lotus root. A delightful mix of flavours and textures.

This delicious pairing of umami filled prawns paired with a rich avocado salad will undoubtedly leave you wanting more!

Main (choice of)

If you eat beef then I highly suggest that you order this (and cooked nothing more than medium/ medium rare). A tender and flavourful wagyu steak that requires absolutely no sauce to go with it. Just slather on some herbed butter and eat it with a tiny pinch of sea salt then close your eyes and enjoy this heavenly dish!

A hearty grilled Chilean salmon steak atop a bed of pasta. Request this on the rare side if you prefer. You’ll be full after this one, but do remember to leave a little space for dessert!

Dessert

A classic pairing of strawberries and cream, with a wedge of lemon on the side in case things get too rich. Guys, be a gentleman and feed your lady every last strawberry, trust me on this!

Enjoy this one with one of the many gin and tonics (not part of the set) available at the gin bar!

I was hugely surprised by the quality of food at (recently opened) The Fire Grill. You can tell that a lot of effort goes into preparing food that is not only well presented but also tasty AND reasonably priced! This has to be one of the best value for money Valentine’s Day dining deals (don’t forget that it comes with tickets to a comedy show as well!) in Damansara this year!

The soup and salad is buffet style which means that you can help yourself to as much as you want! I’ve always liked the mushroom soup at Signature as it’s one of the better ones around.

For the main, you get to select from four (4) different mains. This was the Black Angus ribeye steak that was pretty flavourful and filling!

The seared duck breast with red wine sauce was another good option!

End the meal on a sweet note with a nice cheese cake dessert to share!
