Somersby Unveils Sparkling White Cider Inspired by White Wine

Somersby unveiled their new Sparkling White cider on 20 March 2019 at the Majapahit in downtown Kuala Lumpur, adding yet another variant to complement its existing line-up which consists of Apple, Blackberry, Elderflower Lime and Sparkling Rosé (sadly Somersby in Malaysia discontinued the Pear variant which is my favourite). Malaysian consumers are the first to savour this new sparkling cider in Asia, outside Europe.

Somersby’s Sparkling White can be consumed as an aperitif, and offers the same flavours and structures of white wine while maintaining the familiar refreshment from Somersby. Somersby Sparkling White is a bubbly cider with a fruity white wine aroma, is less sweet, and comes without a hint of acidity, making it an alternative to wine or champagne, as it pairs well with seafood, white meat, ham and cheese.

During the launch party, Somersby Sparkling White was served in an elegant stemmed glass throughout the night paired with various delicacies such as oysters, shrimp, cold cuts, cheese and a selection of crusty bread.

The Somersby Sparkling White is available in single bottle or 4-bottle pack in major supermarkets, hypermarkets and selected pubs, bars and restaurants. Somersby Sparkling White retails at a similar price point to other Somersby variants, and is best consumed chilled in a bucket and served in a wine glass.
