New Jaguar F-Pace 2.0l Ingenium SUV Officially Launched in Malaysia

Jaguar Land Rover officially launched the new F-Pace 2.0L Ingenium SUV today at all the Jaguar showrooms in Malaysia. The F-Pace 2.0L is available in three variants namely Prestige, R-Sport (Mid-Spec) and R-Sport (Hi-Spec), featuring a combination of stylish design, performance and practicality.

The F-Pace 2.0L, which won Ward’s 2018 10 Best Engines award, is powered with Jaguar’s very own new 2.0-litre four-cylinder Ingenium powertrain that is mated to a twin-scroll turbocharger producing outstanding horsepower of up to 250PS and 365Nm of torque from only 1,200rpm. The engine’s twin scroll turbocharger is fed by an integrated exhaust manifold that synchronises exhaust pulses from two separate pairs of cylinders – significantly reducing turbo lag while improving engine response. With the ability to achieve 0-100km/h in just 6.8 seconds, you’re looking at quite a fun ride for such a big SUV.

The transmission in the F-PACE is developed with ZF to deliver unrivalled shift quality and efficiency. The 2.0-litre four-cylinder is mated to a lighter, more compact 8HP45. It also features a state-of-the-art pendulum damper in the torque converter that is extremely effective at absorbing low-frequency vibrations, enabling the engines to run at lower speeds without compromising refinement.

 

 

With Configurable Dynamics, the F-Pace also offers a personalised driving experience. The system allows drivers to choose Normal or Sports settings for the throttle response, gearbox and steering. Adaptive Dynamics modifies the F-Pace’s damper response to match the different conditions and driving style. It analyses acceleration, cornering, throttle and brake pedal activity to optimise the suspension settings and maintain the car’s dynamism and comfort.

The F-Pace is Jaguar’s first aluminium-intensive model in its class that is developed using Jaguar’s Lightweight Aluminium Architecture. The F-Pace combines purity of line, surface and proportion with F-Type-inspired features such as powerful rear haunches, fender vents and distinctive taillight graphics. The bold front grille and the muscular bonnet, as well as elements such as the slender full-LED headlights, 20-inch wheels and short front overhang carry the design vision of the C-X17 concept through to production.

Staying true to its concept from when it was first developed, the F-Pace is also a practical SUV suitable for everyday usability. It seats five with absolute comfort in a spacious, luxurious interior featuring premium materials, craftsmanship and meticulous attention to detail.. It is also the first among rivals with the biggest boot volume, widest cabin width, biggest rear knee room and ease of rear access.

 

 

The new F-Pace 2.0L Ingenium comes with a host of enhancements and new convenient features which includes:

·       *Surround Camera System

Makes parking by a kerb, tight spaces and junctions convenient as it gives the driver a 360° exterior vision on the touchscreen. Integrated in the system is the Forward Vehicle Guidance and Forward Traffic Detection. The Forward Vehicle Guidance provides the driver with on-screen visualisation of the vehicle and parking distance, while the Forward Traffic Detection helps avoid potential front collisions in situations with restricted views.

·       *Adaptive Cruise Control with Queue Assist

Adaptive Cruise Control uses radar technology to automatically adjust the speed of the car to maintain a safe distance from the vehicle ahead. When a vehicle slows down, the F-Pace reduces its speed to maintain a safe distance.

·       *12.3 Instrument Panel Display (Available only in the R-Sport (Hi-Spec) variant)

The display comes with virtual dials and a full screen 3D map views. The driver can select a full screen 3D map view, or choose one of the four graphical themes to suit its personal preference.

 

 

The 2017 Jaguar F-PACE was named the winner of the 2017 World Car of the Year and the World Car Design of the Year Awards at the New York International Auto Show. It is also the fastest selling model that Jaguar has ever produced, and is only the second vehicle to claim the historic double in the 13-year history of the World Car Awards. To achieve both wins, the F-PACE had to win the vote of 75 influential motoring journalists from 24 countries.
