A Date with the Nissan X-Trail Tuned by IMPUL

The folks over at Edaran Tan Chong Motor (ETCM) recently passed me the 2.5L 4WD Premium Nissan X-Trail Tuned by IMPUL, a sporty new variant outfitted with the IMPUL package that offers owners and customers a commanding and sporty new look to the All-New Nissan X-Trail.

This variant comes fitted with newly designed front and rear bumper spoilers and side skirts, plus an all-new designed 18” IMPUL Aura SX-50 alloy wheels in unique chrome bronze and gloss black finish. There’s also the addition of door visors and a very cool (especially at night) LED stainless steel kick plate complete the package. The IMPUL Sports Springs provides a lower (less 30mm) vehicle ride height providing more agile and responsive driving experience. These cosmetic changes definitely sets the SUV apart from its standard counterpart with the aggressive aesthetics instantly giving it a more commanding road presence.

ETCM bills the new Nissan X-Trail Tuned by IMPUL as an Innovative Premium Crossover with a dynamic new look which is targeted at motorsports enthusiasts and consumers who would like something a bit more fancy than the standard version. “We are pleased to introduce this bold take on the ever popular Nissan X-Trail. The All-New Nissan X-Trail is the latest addition to the stable of IMPUL tuned models in Malaysia such as X-Gear, Grand Livina, and Sylphy. The brand IMPUL is known throughout the motorsports world as Nissan’s dedicated tuning company from Japan which has a rich motorsports heritage. Team IMPUL’s latest motorsports achievement was an overall second placing in the Super GT 2015 season in the GT500 class fielding the Calsonic IMPUL GT-R. When not involved in racing, IMPUL’s team of engineers develop complementing aesthetic and performance parts for Nissan consumer models.

Two IMPUL variants are available; the 2.5L 4WD Premium IMPUL priced at RM 172,516.42, and the 2.0L 2WD Premium IMPUL priced at RM149,715.05 (on-the-road prices with insurance for Peninsular Malaysia).
