Luminox Launches the New Navy SEAL 3500 Series

Luminox launches their new Luminox Navy SEAL 3500 Series – which is the first evolution in 10 years from the best-selling Luminox Navy SEAL Colormark collection. Luminox watches are worn by Navy SEALs, law enforcement, and emergency personnel as well as other professionals who need to be able to see the time in various conditions. Luminox uses tiny tritium gas tubes, which will provide illumination for up to 25 years, utilising a technology that is unlike other luminosity systems which depend on exterior light sources to charge luminous paint or a pushbutton to illuminate the watch.

Luminox honours the legacy of the Navy SEAL teams by designing watches conceived with their input over the last 25 years. The Navy SEALs require a sense of security that their gear will work when needed – especially critical when coordinating an attack on the enemy with other units. This effort results in watches that function in all circumstances, having performed under the toughest conditions and in the harshest environments during tests by the Navy SEALs.

The new Luminox Navy SEAL 3500 series is available in the slightly larger 45mm case size and in five colourways from the stealth blackout to the bright yellow favoured by divers. The Luminox Navy SEAL 3500 series features a durable Luminox carbon compound solid link bracelet with stainless steel buckle that is light, durable and comfortable. A newly designed signature PU strap is also available as an option and comes with a curved tip for enhanced comfort on the wrist.

The case and the unidirectional ratcheting bezel are made of carbon compound resulting in an attractive yet incredibly light and durable timepiece, while the hardened mineral glass ensures durability against impacts.

The Luminox Navy SEAL 3500 Series is often compared to the shape of a turtle, the now iconic turtle-shape Luminox case design features a double gasket stainless steel crown that has been engraved with the Luminox logo. On the opposite node at the 9 marker, a ‘200M’ stamp for water resistance is indicated. The new caseback comes in stainless steel for superior water resistance and features an embossed logo of the iconic Special Warfare insignia, also known as the SEAL trident; one of the most recognizable military badges in the U.S. Navy.

 

  

The dial features a multi-layered design with a 3D chapter ring for an added dimension. It has a cleaner layout and typeface that improves legibility. Coupled with a new contrast second-hand, the new design enables clear readability at a quick glance, especially useful for divers. The Luminox Light Technology (LLT) provides unmatched night visibility through a self-powered illumination system that lasts up to 25 years without requiring an exterior light source or the push of a button.
