A Journey Through Time x Zouk Party

Headed over to Shook! Restaurant in Starhill Gallery Kuala Lumpur on 12 November 2016 for the A Journey Through Time x Zouk closing party which wrapped up 10 days of the watch and jewellery showcase, A Journey Through Time. Partnering with superclub Zouk Kuala Lumpur was the first for the showcase since it began 10 years ago, with Shook! Restaurant transformed into a club for the night. Over 400 guest attended the party and the evening also saw the introduction of the inaugural “People’s Choice Award” for timepiece.

“We are the pioneer in the watch and jewellery industry in the region for experiential lifestyle events and A Journey Through Time is now the longest standing event of its kind in Asia. Created nine years ago, it positions Malaysia and Kuala Lumpur as leading destinations for watch and jewellery connoisseurs and enthusiasts to gather in celebration of design excellence, artistry and craftsmanship.  We owe our success and longevity to the continual support of the Ministry of Tourism and Culture Malaysia, our tenants and event partners, members of the media, social engagers and the watch and jewellery enthusiasts who keeps us committed to deliver better and more unique experiences year after year,” said Mr. Joseph Yeoh, Vice President, YTL Land & Development, YTL Hotels and Properties.

“It has truly been remarkable to see how the event has evolved and expanded to become a holistic multi-dimensional experience for all. Watch and jewellery is now celebrated with fashion, music, art and fine food. As we are about to enter into the next decade of A Journey Through Time, we want to take it to the next new level by staging our first-ever closing party to also signify an exciting new beginning for us to be more inclusive of the younger generation. And Starhill Gallery could not be more blessed than to team up for the first time with the iconic Zouk Kuala Lumpur to bring you AJTT X Zouk Party as our spectacular finale. We definitely want to bring this party back year after year as a new tradition of A Journey Through Time moving forward,” Joseph Yeoh added.

For the party, Zouk Kuala Lumpur’s popular resident DJs – DJ Radz and DJ Clifford – were on decks keeping the guests entertained with their upbeat sets.

The showcase is part of Kuala Lumpur Alta Moda, a high fashion extravaganza held in Starhill Gallery to showcase couture collections by renowned international and local labels.

The first-ever “People’s Choice Award” for timepieces was chosen by party guests who were invited to vote for their favourite timepiece on the spot, where one lucky winner took home the most voted timepiece. The winning timepiece was the Armand Nicolet MO2 Complete Calendar, with 46% of the votes.
