MHB’s Stephanie Lim and I headed over to Suria KLCC for the Ted Baker Spring Summer 2016 fashion show on 21st April 2016. The show was held in conjunction with the Suria KLCC Fashion Week 2016 and showcased Ted Baker’s latest Spring Summer womenswear and menswear collections. Attending the show was over 100 guests including media, celebrities, fashionistas and VIP customers who got to enjoy a live caricature drawing on exclusive Ted’s canvas bag, funky photo booth, sweet treats and Magnum ice cream.
Bernie Chan, the emcee for the Six-Star Style night kick-start the show with a lucky draw session, followed by models sporting the brand’s latest collection – “Six-Star Style” on the runway. The summer wears will make you want to travel to the Strawberry Islands, a fictional all-inclusive resort of the most charming kind, where visitors just happen to be dressed Ted to toe at all times.
With prints being the trend of the season, the Six-Star Style collection channels sophistication from arty to thoroughly modern with geo detailing and sporty monochrome. This season, the new colour palette sees tones of bold orange, fresh mint and red, and new neutrals of monochrome and navy.
For ladies, this season’s most luxurious showpieces include breath-taking printed lace twinsets and a delightful candyfloss-pink statement-making dress that comes artistically laid out with gold floral embroidery. For gents, Ted Baker has created geo prints and lightweight linens that can be paired with anything formal or checked formal.
