Remember these types of PCs and PC monitors from the 80’s? I sure do. My first computer was an old XT which was like so fantastic to me back then.

Then in the 90's it was the era of the CRT monitors which usually weighed a ton!

Fast forward to 2015 where Acer launches their curved computer monitors meant to give hardcore gamers a more immersive experience during gameplay!

Acer Malaysia launched two (2) new monitors and the Revo One on 27 July 2015 with a media preview in Damansara Heights, Kuala Lumpur. The ultra-wide curved monitor Acer XR341CK that was introduced at the Acer Global Press Conference earlier this year has finally made its way to Malaysia. The sleek 34-inch IPS curved monitor features a QHD (3440×1440) resolution with NVIDIA G-Sync technology in a zero frame design offering beautiful visuals and dynamic audio.

The Acer XR341CK comes with a glossy back panel and a futuristic aluminium metallic base that is adjustable to provide optimal comfort with ergonomic tilt from -5 to 35 degrees and height adjustments of up to 130mm. The solid stand comes with a cable management hole to keep the cables neat and out of the way.

The zero framed curved Acer XR341CK allow its users maximum viewing area; making it suitable for multi-monitor setup and daisy chaining for a broader view. It sports a 21:9 aspect ratio that provides its users an ultra-wide and immersive viewing experience; best for gaming or watching movie. The 34-inch monitor comes in an ultra-high QHD (3440 x 1440) resolution, offering remarkably sharp and realistic visuals. Fitted with the IPS panel, the Acer XR341CK is able to deliver consistent colour even at 178-degree viewing angle. With features such as a 100% sRGB and 6-axis colour adjustment, the Acer XR341CK provides high colour accuracy and colour space reproduction that is sought after by design professionals, photo enthusiast and gamers.

The Acer XR341CK enables smooth gaming experience with the inclusion of NVIDIA G-Sync technology which is designed in such a way that the GPU controls the display’s refresh rate to eliminate tearing and stuttering, and reduce mouse dormancy. The Acer XR341CK also comes with two built-in 7W speakers with DTS¨ Sound. The Acer EyeProtect technology feature in the Acer XR341CK includes a flicker-less technology that helps eliminate screen flicker and Blue-light exposure filter; reducing eye strain.

Multitasking is possible with the Acer XR341CK as the picture-by-picture (PBP) function allows users to connect two inputs to the same monitor and view contents side by side on one screen. Meanwhile, picture-in-picture allows users to create and consume contents in one screen simultaneously for example; users can watch their favourite movie or video in one screen while working on a project. The Acer XR341CK is able to handle high rates of data transfer that requires high-bandwidth data cables thus, and comes with HDMI¨ 2.0, DisplayPort and USB3.0 ports.

Also launched was the world’s first 27-inch gaming monitor, the Acer XB270HU equipped with NVIDIA¨ G-syncª and IPS technology for a wide-angle and extraordinary gaming experience. The 27-inch IPS panel monitor offers a WQHD (2560 x 1440) resolution screen, G-sync technology to eliminate screen tearing and minimizes stutter and input lag, Acer EyeProtect, and ComfyView technologies that help reduce eye-strain for heavy users. The Ergostand design came with adjustable tilt, swivel, pivot and height. The Acer XB270HU also comes with Full Green Certifications such as Energy Star¨ 6.0, EPEAT¨ Gold Standard and TCO Certified Display 6.0.

The multiple-award winning Acer Revo One RL85 is a revolutionary departure from standard CPU designs and will be available with the Intel Core i3 and Core i5 processors come August 2015. The Revo was previously introduced in Malaysia two (2) months ago with a different processor, however this new Acer Revo One RL85 is powered by the Intel Core i3 and Core i5 processors comes with 2 hot-swappable HDD drives upgradeable for larger storage space of up to 6TB. It also supports full range of display resolution even the latest Ultra HD, 4K2K, and can be connected with anything from computer displays to huge flat screen TVs. You can even connect it to two displays to watch your favourite movie while working on the other. The Acer Revo One RL85 is also well equipped in the sound department, allowing you to experience a full cinematic sound with its 7.1 surround sound audio.

The new Acer XR341CK and Acer XB270HU are priced at RM3,699 and RM2,599 respectively while the Acer Revo One RL85 will be made available in mid-August 2015 at a starting price of RM1,500.
