Headed over to Oasis Square on a bright Saturday morning to meet up with Regina and we decided to try out the new The Morning After (TMA) cafe which just opened there recently. Parking was a breeze and I could park almost right outside the cafe itself. Walking in, I noticed that it was relatively empty. Guess not many people know of its existence yet as breakfast cafes generally tend to do quite good business on weekends. All the better for us as I hate crowded and noisy cafes!

The cafe is nicely decorated with the black walls being the differentiation factor from other cafes

The private room had a large (hospital) operating theatre light fixed to the ceiling and the owners of TMA inform me that each outlet has one. It's kind of their trademark which I thought is pretty cool.

Started off with a hot Caffe Latte (RM11.00) which had a nice robust flavour – just the way I like it. Next to the mug is the menu which looks like a newsletter. Inside it has lots of info on TMA as well as the full listing of food and beverage items.

High & Mighty Londoner (poached or fried eggs, grilled tomatoes, sautéed mushrooms, English muffin & butter, sausages & baked beans) - RM25.00

The eggs were perfectly poached and the yolk was nice and runny. The item I liked most in this dish though was the huge sausages which tasted quite premium!

Nice and runny! Yay!

Spicy Aglio Olio with shrimps & zucchini - RM22.00

Nice amount of spice but I thought it was a tad too oily.  That is of course because I prefer my pasta not totally dripping with oil but knowing that Malaysians generally prefer a lot of sauce and gravy I guess this one was tailored for them. It had a nice amount of shrimps and a nice amount of spice though which was good.

Grilled Lamb Shoulder served with fried mushrooms, mixed vegetables & garlic mashed potatoes - RM30.00

This was a pretty hearty dish with the pieces of lamb stacked on the bed of garlic mashed potatoes. A dish that can definitely satisfy my appetite!

Cheesy Does It Cheesecake - RM11.00

Loved the cookie base!

Green Tea Latte - RM12.00

This one can be a bit of an acquired taste. I thought it was alright but Regina wasn’t a big fan of it.

Roasted Tea Latte - RM12.00

I preferred the roasted taste of this one compared to the green tea latte.

TMA offers a lot more fare than just the standard breakfast favourites although one thing I like is the fact that you can customize your own breakfast from a whole list of ingredients. There are mains like Grilled Salmon, Chicken Cordon Bleu, Grilled Lamb Shoulder (which I tried), Striploin Steak, Roast Chicken, pastas, and burgers while there’s bottled juices, and even bottled beers with happy hour promotions for those who want to grab a drink there in the evenings.
