[Food Review]
Tucked away in a small corner in Desa Sri Hartamas is Naughty Nuri’s which is a much raved about restaurant in Bali, Indonesia. As I have never tried the original restaurant in Bali, I decided to see what all the hue and fuss was about this place and headed over with Rachel to visit this immensely popular eatery.

We started the night with a few of their signature cocktails.

The ribs are specially marinated with Balinese spice and char grilled with a special sauce.
One word = AWESOME!
Tender, bursting with flavours and simply finger licking good. Please sir, can I have some more?
You could also opt to have some side dishes with your ribs:
Grilled Corn On The Cob – RM6.00
Mashed Potatoes – RM7.00
Caramelized Onions Rice – RM7.00
Mix Salads – RM8.00
However I do suggest that you leave some space to try out some of the other dishes which you can easily share.

Seared oxtail braised in Balinese spiced for hours until soft and tender, and served with garlic toast.
Oh gosh! Another winner! This one was crazily addictive! Not too spicy but very flavourful. The meat was super tender and still retained some flavour. Went well with the garlic toast. Definitely a must-try dish!

Deep Fried French fries tossed with our seasoned chilli flakes and drizzle with truffle oil.
Smells so wonderful thanks to the truffle oil! Also goes great with beer!

The Naughty Nuri’s style BBQ Chicken Satay is tender and juicy but I’m really hoping they’ll come up with pork satay soon!

Crispy deep fried breaded bacon wrapped in cranberry and cheddar cheese accompanied with marmalade sauce.
This dish pairs perfectly with beer. Sinful yet oh so good but you’ll need to share this one as the cheese will fill you up quickly.

Stir-fried Mee Goreng with mix vegetables, onion, chillies and sliced pork with black sauce.
Loved the pieces of pork in it! Good if you’re looking for something light.

Homemade chocolate cake stuffed with bacon and nuts topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and served on a hot plate with chocolate ganache poured over it.
As Rachel’s birthday had only recently passes, I got the restaurant to put a candle on top and then we sang happy birthday to her!
Bacon and chocolate – what a heavenly combination! Eat it fast before the ice cream melts on the hot plate!

I really loved the food and as it was full house on the night of my visit, and also full house pretty much every single time I pass it, I think most people would agree with me. Try to go during off-peak hours. Parking nearby might be slightly challenging but in the evenings you can park along the long stretch of road coming from Souled Out to the Shell petrol station (there’s also an open-air parking lot which you have to pay along that stretch), or behind Maybank.
