Christmas is the season of giving and in these hard times there are a lot of underprivileged people who needs a helping hand. While cash is tight with the price of living constantly on the rise, you can still give the gift of literacy which in the long run can be more valuable than material donations. But books are expensive right? Won’t that cost me more? Well with Somersby Apple Cider’s “Books for Cider” charity campaign, you can (literally!) have your cider and drink it.
Since its launch in July 2012, Somersby Apple Cider has outperformed expectations and has become the country’s fastest growing cider. To celebrate its success, Somersby Apple Cider launched the ‘Books of Cider’ charity campaign which is a way for them to give back to society.
To launch this little charity drive, there was a simple ceremony held on Friday, 13 December 2013 at the booth and some really beautiful celebrities turned up to lend their support to this noble cause.
Share the spirit of giving this Christmas by buying a book for just RM10.00 at the Somersby “Books for Cider” booth at Pavilion KL, Level 3 Fashion Avenue and will run from 13th to 26th December 2013. Hand your money over to the cute Somersby girl there then pick a book that you wish to exchange then place it on the shelf and get a bottle of Somersby apple cider in return. Fast and simple!
These beauties have done their part. What about you?
There are also another way you can help. Simple purchase a Somersby Apple Cider at Mercato Pavilion KL and RM0.50 per bottle will go to One for One charity program, which is a not-for-profit enterprise that believes that all should have access to good quality books regardless of their social economic background. Juliet Yap, Marketing Director of Carlsberg Malaysia explained that a unique trait of Somersby Apple Cider is to celebrate merriness and spread happiness at every occasion of bringing people together. Therefore through the ‘Books for Cider’ charity drive, Somersby Apple Cider (which is imported and distributed by Carlsberg Malaysia) is giving consumers the little extras in giving back to the society when celebrating Christmas, which is the season of love and giving.
After the launch we headed over to Tom, Dick & Harry’s Live for a media lunch.
You can get one instant lucky dip if you spend RM50.00 and above at participating restaurants in Pavilion KL. Prizes include Times Bookstore vouchers, Somersby thumbdrives, Somersby dine-in vouchers, and even Somersby Apple Cider!
This campaign runs from 13 to 26 December 2013 so make sure you visit the Somersby booth when you’re at Pavilion KL!
