McDonald’s GCB is Back!
McDonald’s GCB or Grilled Chicken Burger is back in town from 26 September 2013 and we were given a special preview of it at McDonalds Annexe @ The Curve on 21 September 2013.
The GCB debuted three (3) years ago and has since been available for specific durations in the years that followed due to popular demand for this burger.
The GCB features a grilled tender chicken thigh, paired with char-grilled sauce on a bed of iceberg lettuce sandwiched between two toasted warm sesame seed buns.
There’s also a photo contest on McDonald’s Malaysia official Facebook page that will commence on 26th September, where participants can win 1 month’s worth of McDonald’s meals, which means that winners’ meals for the next 30 days at McDonald’s will be complimentary!

Here’s the Chinese press release:

KL Restaurant Week 2013
Elaine and I headed over to Midi 57 along Jalan Bangkung in Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur on 23 September 2013 for the preview of the first ever KL Restaurant Week which is scheduled to begin on 4th October 2013.
KL Restaurant Week 2013 will see over 45 dining establishments participating, offering various cuisines from Malay to Italian to Japanese, German and Thai to name a few.
KL Restaurant Week differs from MIGF in the sense that it offers common folk (like me!) a chance to dine at some of KL’s more high-end restaurants at a modest price. Each restaurant will have a fixed menu with prices starting from RM20.00 nett for lunch and RM50.00 nett for dinner. Seats are limited and you’ll need to book ahead at http://klrestaurantweek.com/! Online reservation closes on 29th September.
So make the most of this opportunity to have set lunches and dinners within the range of RM20.00 to RM98.00.
You can head over to http://www.hungrygowhere.my/food-guide/gallery/kl-restaurant-week/ and read some reviews on some of the participating establishments.
Midi 57’s lunch set (shown below) comes with a soup of the day, main and dessert of the day for RM38.00 nett.
The dinner set (shown below) includes a Crustacea Salad, main, and Creme Brulee for RM78.00 nett.
I thought the food was ok from the one of two mouthfuls of each dish that I tried, Not that I was on a diet or anything just that most of the dishes were shared among eight (8) of us (of which fortunately 7 were girls) who were reviewing the food at the outlet but from what I ate I generally didn’t have any complains.
Lucky Miss Sunshine got to review Opus and you can read about her review soon at http://www.sunshinekelly.com/
