If you’ve been to the cinemas lately you would have noticed the ChivalryStyle advertisement playing before the movie. Well on 29 June 2013 MHB’s Sarah, Valerie, Andy Kho and I headed over to KL Live with a couple of our friends for the official launch of Chivalrystyle.com which is dubbed as Malaysia’s first online definitive guide for the urban gentleman (I guess my blog is the guide for the modern naughty gentleman).
With the tagline “Doing the Right Thing”, Chivalrystyle.com has evolved with the addition of more content and interactive elements for its members, with more cutting-edge features to be added in the future. Some of these highlights include a forum, live chat application, digital mall of exclusive limited-edition luxury collections, and live auction.
The portal will also have an app and a mobile version of the website, allowing users to access content on tablets and smartphones. anyway back to the launch.

Chivalrystyle.com is a lifestyle hub, and will feature different activities lined up throughout the year that are divided into weekly, bi-monthly and yearly events. Some notable ones include Gentlemen’s Nights, Brotherhood Parties and large bashes such as the Merdeka Countdown, ChivalryFest and New Year Eve Countdown.
The content on the portal covers all aspects of the modern gentleman’s lifestyle, be it fashion, electronic gadgets, cars, travel destinations, arts and entertainment, places to wine and dine, et al. and is presented under four different pillars – Made for Gentlemen, Camaraderie, Honour and Gallantry.
Made for Gentlemen focuses on premium lifestyle products that are of interest to the urban urbane gentlemen, such as gadgets and cars.
Camaraderie is about places to dine, relax, and socialise, including high-end restaurants, nightspots and holiday destinations. This segment also keeps abreast on the latest developments in entertainment, gaming and sports.
Honour profiles successful gentlemen, as well as features self-help advice pertaining to men’s issues.
Gallantry incorporates the female factor, with views from women on male issues, gift ideas for the ladies as well as articles concerning relationships.
.
Charity (not to be confused as one of the aforementioned pillars) is also given attention by the portal with various Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) projects run, such as the recently-concluded Cash for Grace contest where proceeds were channelled to worthy causes. Upcoming initiatives include a run for cancer in collaboration with the Terry Fox Foundation, and placing the marginalised in appropriate shelter homes. Let’s not forget those who are less fortunate and together we can play our part to help those in need! Now to me that’s living with chivalry!
