It was a very bright and sunny Sunday morning when I decided to bring Conne over to Shawn Cutler for a hair makeover. Owner of Shawn Cutler Shawn Loong has been in the business for over 15 years and is one of L’Oreal’s ambassador stylist in Malaysia. I remember when I was younger I used to tag along to their hairshows and got to know some of the models while they were getting their hair styled.
Parking on Sunday morning was a breeze and you can choose to either park next to the shoplots or inside Bangsar Village 2. I was feeling a tad bit lazy so I decided to park inside Bangsar Village 2 then cross the road to Jalan Telawi 2 where Shawn Cutler is located.

The Jalan Telawi 2 outlet is located along the same row as Antipodean and La BodegaThe waiting area downstairs.Upstairs was decorated with loads of photos as well. Upstairs offers a bit more privacy and is usually utilised by celebs/ models. I’ve bumped into quite a few over the years and most recently Patricia K – model and DJ and FHM Malaysia’s Most Wanted Women of 2012.The L’Oreal colour bar – Shawn Cutler uses quality L’Oreal products so you don’t have to worry about cheap products on your precious hairMeet Shawn Loong – owner and founder of Shawn CutlerThe service area on the ground floorWe decided to go to the sister outlet which is located just a street away in Telawi Square. Here’s Shawn’s twin brother Gibson who runs this outlet.The Cutler like Shawn Cutler also uses L’Oreal productsMy partner in crime before the session beganA view from the back. Her hair was getting kinda messy while the colour was fading out and uneven. Definitely in need of a Cutler makeover!Choosing a colour. Choose your fav or ask the stylist for a recommendation.After colouring it’s time to put back some moisture into her hair with some treatment and some err “gwiyomi”?This was followed by the haircut. Again you may tell your stylist what style you prefer or rely on the professional advise of your stylist. My partner in crime opted for the latter despite my insistance that she would look good with her hair as short as mine. Well it was worth a try hahaha!The interior of The Cutler is bright, modern and minimalistic.The hair wash area stays true to the overall theme.Finally the end product!Conne with Gibson and stylist KarenLooking very feminine in her new long curls!
