It was one of those nice weekends where I didn’t need to work so I decided to wake up (relatively) early and head over to Antipodean Cafe in Jalan Telawi 2 (same row as La Bodega) in Bangsar Baru with Conne.
.
My partner in crime for the dayThe ‘Big Breakfast’ comes with a pile of mushrooms, hash brown, toast, eggs and either a sausage or bacon. All for just RM19.00++.Cappucinno. Even though the restaurant was full they took the time to create some coffee art!Cafe Latte
.
After that we decided to do the touristy thing and head over to Aquaria in KLCC.
.
All sorts of exotic fishA pretty cool vertical aquariumConne attracting the crocodileCute ottersListen listen listen! Even ikan jaws have problems!Look at those teeth! On a more serious note, sharks are vital to our ocean’s ecosystem so do reduce or stop eating sharksfin.Besides fish there are also a couple of reptiles, snakes, insects, and moths on displayTiny lobster anyone? Some kind of eelJellyfish! Do not touch!Red jellyfish, and contrary to popular belief they are not the cause the natural phenomenon known as red tide (which is actually caused by algae)Global warming is really affecting the world’s coral reefs. A lot of species rely on reefs as their habitat so the destruction of reefs will harm them and will disrupt and endanger the whole ecosystem. Recycle all the materials you can and don’t waste energy and fuel.On the way out you’ll go through Aquaria’s gift shop where there are loads of merchandise on sale like soft toys
.
The ticket for a Malaysian adult (you will need to show your NRIC) is RM38.00 while for foreigners it is RM50.00. I generally didn’t think there were enough exhibits to justify the price.
.
Then at night I headed over to Jaya One in Petaling Jaya for the relaunch of Chulo Restaurant & Bar.
Chulo is located in Palm Square (in Jaya One) above Brussels (the entrance is right next to Brussels) and across from Starbucks.
.
Loads of hot chicks!Chulo was full and bustling! With Jeslyn my old Zouk Club kakiSexy DJ April Tang on the decks!Big smiles all around!
