Kronenbourg 1664 Blanc presents ‘Unmask the taste of French Summer’

[Event]

It was a bright and sunny Saturday afternoon on 14 July 2012 when I headed down to Marini’s on 57, Tower 3, KLCC (yes there is a Tower 3) for the Kronenbourg 1664 Blanc presents ‘Unmask the taste of French Summer’ in conjunction with the annual Bastille Day celebrations (the French national day). In commemorating France’s National Day, Kronenbourg 1664 Blanc has designed an experiential setting where guests will find themselves feeling transported to another time and another culture at selected bars and restaurants all over Malaysia.

MHB’s Ashley in front of the Eiffel Tower…ok not really but you get the picture right? What a cool photowall!
Marini’s on 57 is KL city’s newest restaurant and bar and probably the highest one as well as it’s situated on the 57th floor of Tower 3, KLCC.

Commenting at the kick-off party, Soren Ravn, Managing Director of Carlsberg Malaysia said, “The reason why we chose Kronenbourg 1664 Blanc to front this engagement is because it presents the perfect taste notes for the French summer. Fruity, refreshing and aromatic, Kronenbourg 1664 Blanc embodies the charming and vivacious pleasures during the French summers turning every occasion into moments of conviviality that unite good humour with good food and good company.”

“The month-long festivities themed ‘Unmask the Taste of French Summer’ presents a chance for consumers to get intimate with Kronenbourg 1664 Blanc by introducing them to its unique ingredients and taste profile,” added Ravn further.

Yay! More parties for me to attend!

.

Drink of choice for the event was the Kronenbourg 1664 Blanc which is a fruity wheat beer with coriander and citrus. I don’t normally drink this however I did have two bottles (before switching to my fav Kronenbourg 1664 lager) as it was pretty refreshing on a warm afternoon. The girls though thoroughly enjoyed this.

We amused ourselves with the photowall. Here’s Ashley and myself with Carlsberg’s Sharon and York. Check out the Kronenbourg 1664 Malaysia Facebook page to see all the funny poses made by the other guests.
Meanwhile I coerced the Louise, Mei Sze and Sarah to stand in this order to mimic…the French flag!
Lots of hotties as usual
The finished collage! It was a collaborative effort by guests and touched up by some expert artistes on hand to assist us.
As day turned into night we continued to admire the view which was pretty spectacular
Then there was a surprise birthday party for Carlsberg’s Managing Director Soren
Soren admiring his cake. Notice how he’s wielding the knife like a sword…
Beautiful MC Nadia Hengeven convinced Soren to give us one of his trademark raps!
A good night with great company and an awesome view of KL city.

The event saw us guests immersed in the indulging and delightful culture so strongly associated with the land of sensual pleasures with the charming atmosphere, delicious canapes, a soothing live band, and décor aimed to recreate the sentimentalities of picnics by the river Seine, walking hand in hand along the Champs Elysees or relaxing at a side walk cafe with an ice cold beer or so I was told.

Really? Hey I was there for the beer!

Ok jokes aside, the girls and I really enjoyed ourselves with the evening filled with enjoyment and indulgence giving us a glimpse of French culture through Kronenbourg 1664 Blanc’s distinctive brand essence.
