Goodbye and Thank You Whitney Houston

Another talent gone too soon…

Yes I’m an 80’s baby (and proud of it) and I grew up listening to Whitney Houston. That was back in the day when there was only one English radio station and CDs were just making their entry into Malaysia.

Therefore the news of her passing came as a great shock to me as she was neither old nor suffering any critical disease although she was battling addiction to drugs for the past few years.

I guess now she’s free and I hope she’s in a better place where there is no pain or suffering.

Life is fragile. Count your blessings, appreciate what you have and remember to spend time with your loved ones. Work will always be work but don’t let the pursuit of money and material possessions control your life. Once your loved ones have departed no amount of money can bring them back.

Rest in peace Whitney, we will always love you.

Her song “One Moment in Time” was an inspiration to millions.

While “I Will Always Love You” from The Bodyguard is one of her most recognizable hits of all time.

I Will Always Love You

If I should stay,
I would only be in your way.
So I’ll go, but I know
I’ll think of you ev’ry step of the way.

And I will always love you.
I will always love you.
You, my darling you. Hmm.

Bittersweet memories
that is all I’m taking with me.
So, goodbye. Please, don’t cry.
We both know I’m not what you, you need.

And I will always love you.
I will always love you.

I hope life treats you kind
And I hope you have all you’ve dreamed of.
And I wish to you, joy and happiness.
But above all this, I wish you love.

And I will always love you.
I will always love you.
I will always love you.
I will always love you.
I will always love you.
I, I will always love you.

You, darling, I love you.
Ooh, I’ll always, I’ll always love you.
