Paradiso Cine Lounge is the latest addition to the Publika Shopping Center in Solaris Dutamas, Kuala Lumpur and Malaysia’s Hottest Bloggers were invited for a little preview before the outlet began it’s operations.
The interior features a modular and versatile layout with two (2) large projector screens. Christian Kinne – the man responsible for Paradiso Cine Lounge asks us to, “Imagine the world of motion pictures surrounding you while you eat, from the dusky black and white romance of Casablanca to the powerful stillness and vivid colour of the Godfather. The kitchen brings you only what you desire, the bar will bring the latest in mixology, in an upscale blend of the old and new echoed by the sleek retro-modern design.”
So we headed over to try some of their signature cocktails and munch away on some lounge food.
The minimalistic yet stylish bar area which housed the high tables and chairs. The shutters were pulled halfway down as it was a closed event.The sofa area which is great for chilling with your buddies over some cocktails or your favourite GAB beerWilee with her prosecco which is Italian sparking white wineVivian with one of the numerous cocktails we triedSo good you have to close your eyes!Chicken Wings with Peanut Butter Glaze (somewhat similar to satay sauce but follows the Balinese style more than our local Malaysian style). The chicken was very crispy while the sauce complemented it with a sweet and rich flavour.A bar staple - Chicken Wings with BBQ Glaze. I shamelessly licked my fingers clean after eating these. Yes I loved the BBQ sauce.On the left is the Cheese and Beef Bacon Stuffed Portobello Mushrooms while on the right is the Crispy Spring Rolls - filled with spinash and emmental cheese and served with a tomato concasse. Definitely not your ordinary popiah goreng!Cajun Potato Wedges with Cheese Dip - these go fantastic with a glass of draught beer or stoutGarlic Bread topped with Blue Cheese - now I'm a true cheese fan and I can eat any cheese from goat's cheese to blue cheese so I thoroughly enjoyed this one.Lamb and Olive Balls served with a tangy tomato sauce and a fresh zesty garlic sauce. At the back is the French Fries with Garlic Mayonaise. I will definitely order this one when I'm back there in the future. Love the garlic mayonaise and it goes well with the crispy french fries!Soft Shell Crab served with a chilli sauce. I can never say no to soft shell crab and this one was pretty good!Another bar staple - Deep Fried Calamari aka Sotong Goreng! Eat while crispy.Bruschetta with mediterannean onion toppingBruschetta with mushroom garlic toppingThis was one of the unique signature cocktails - Dragon Tattoo - ABSOLUT Vanilia, dragon fruit and vanilla syrupDesperado - Patron Silver, fresh mangostine, and elderflower syrupCheers!!!With Stephanie who recently returned from Japan. Paradico Cine Lounge is a nice place to chill after work and with it’s wide open spaces can be a good place to hold private functions of up to 100 pax (indoors). Although it has large projector screens don’t expect this to be a noisy sports bar. It will be a cool lounge which will have screenings of epic movies every now and then and special theme nights.
