As I’m sure most of you are aware, I normally have food reviews with the bloggers from Malaysia’s Hottest Bloggers. Time time however, I was flying solo as I headed over to the Sunway Lagoon Resort & Spa to try out the newly opened Fuzion which is the resort’s all-day-cafe. F
Walking in you are greeted by a spacious 360-seater restaurant with a really cosy yet stylish ambienceDifferent sorts of table and chairs to suit diners' individual preferenceThe huge variety at the salad bar will satisfy even the most fussy herbivor!Check out the HUGE cheese! This 50lb baby is imported fresh from Europe. Sprinkle it over your Caesar salad.If you're one of those who likes canapes or tapas then you will like this section!Really fresh seafood! I went straight for the fresh oysters and sashimiSushi!I really liked this section! Half a dozen cheeses that you can eat with crackers! I just love cheese!Fuzion features a 'live kitchen' concept where you can see the chefs preparing the dishes. Of course some of the dishes are even made to order to your liking such as the prawn noodles and pasta.The really delicious Seafood Noodles that was prepared before my eyes. Just look at the size of the prawn! The chilli on the side is made in the hotel itself and packs a punch! Also available are Lobster Truffle Dumplings which are super popular with diners!
In the al fresco dining area is the BBQ! Pick whatever fresh meat such as beef, lamb, chicken, quail and sausages or seafood such as crabs, prawns, fish and sotong and the chef will grill it for you. Alternatively you can go straight for the roast lamb and potatoes.I liked that the featured a Middle Eastern food section as I quite enjoy the kebabs and hummus. Also available are traditional Middle Eastern entrees such as kebab halla, chicken sharkassia and veal blanket.Not forgetting a marvelous spread of local fare which includes Malay, Chinese and Indian dishesChef Raymond and his pride and joy - the organic salad station! Super healthy without compromising on taste.Food is prepared right before your eyes like this chef making cookies for us! Yes you read it correctly! Cookies made on the spot! Literally oven fresh!The dessert section was like a small piece of heaven on earth. There's something for everyone here.Sinful sinful sinful!!!
Chef Raymond is very proud that Fuzion serves it’s food fresh and to accomplish that there is an army of chefs that prepares the food ‘live’ in front of the diners and in small portions to ensure that diners get the best gastronomical experience possible. The chefs keep a keen eye on the portions and will quickly cook up new portions if any dishes on the buffet line are running low. The result? Piping hot and fresh food throughout the entire buffet duration!
