Overtime opened it’s newest outlet at Pavilion, Kuala Lumpur on 19 September 2011 with a special appearance by Godfrey Gao, a Taiwanese actor and model who had the girls’ hearts a fluttering. I of course would have preferred Lin Chi-ling with her endless long legs. Anyway I headed down into a very jammed KL and here’s what went down.

Apart from the very tall Godfrey Gao, Overtime also invited a whole bunch of local celebrities including Amber Chia who all had to walk the long red carpet from the stage at the side of Jalan Bukit Bintang (which incidentally featured some very colourful performances) all the way to Overtime on the 04 floor. Needless to say they got a lot of attention from shoppers at Pavilion who scrambled to take photos of the celebrities.

Now here’s a little info on the new Starker Dunkel:

Brewed using a popular German technique from the 19th century, Starker Dunkel has a rich, smooth malty flavour and is deep copper in colour. This is a result of the malt and hops being roasted before being brewed to create a lager that is neither too heady or heavy and like other Starker beer variants, Starker Dunkel is a fresh beer which contains no preservatives.

Btw Starker Dunkel is not a stout so don’t drink it and compare it to other stout brands.

I thought it was ok, rather sweet so perhaps girls will like it more but I still prefer Starker lager.
