9 April 2011 – Johnnie Walker has once again wowed KL’s socialites with a party that outdid the two previous Johnnie Walker Black Circuit Lounge om 2-11 with a larger setting and numerous international DJs at the Black Circuit Lounge April 2011 which was the Official Race Party of the Malaysian Grand Prix in Kuala Lumpur. This glamorous event was held at Le Marquee, Palace of the Golden Horses.
As usual Johnnie Walker transformed the very unassuming structure of Le Marquee into a stylish and chic club lounge in the spirit of a Monaco V-VIP race party. To add to the anticipation, the venue was only revealed just days before the event to the lucky guests. The Johnnie Walker Striding Man and two lovely girls actually hand-delivered the invite to me at my office! Boy was I impressed!

The party featured international entertainment with superstar mix-vixen DJ Sophia Lin from the USA and show-stopping DJ Bento out of Tokyo making their debut appearance in Kuala Lumpur. Definitive Hip Hop DJs in Asia, Hong Kong’s DJ I-Tek and Malaysia’s very own sweetheart DJ Faith added to the lineup for the night and all four DJ’s got the crowd pumping and gyrating and brought the temperature up!
In classic Johnnie Walker style, all guests were treated like VVIPs with waiters serving canapes and delicious chocolates (the girls could not get enough of these haha!) while every table had a bottle of Johnnie Walker Black Label which was promptly replaced whenever it was empty!
Along the course of the night I bumped into a couple of Malaysian personalities such as my buddy Roshan from Astro, Vanessa and Pamela Chong, and singers Reshmonu and Suki Low among others.
World Class mixologists Amanda Wan and Chong Yi Shawn mixed up with four exquisite Johnnie Walker signature cocktails for patient guests but I like my Black Label on the rocks or with a little water so I didn’t pay much attention to this. Ok ok I was busy and I had my hands full…if you know what I mean…
2008 Formula One World Champion, Lewis Hamilton could not physically be at the Black Circuit Lounge as he had to race on Sunday, however he made an appearance in a personal video message to guests at the event delivering the important message to Never Drink and Drive.

As usual, another awesome Johnnie Walker party. Five hours seemed to pass in a flash as I was running around socializing and drinking with friends, and snapping loads of photos.
