Food Review – Skewers
The weekly Malaysia’s Hottest Bloggers food review brought members Mei Sze, Sarah, Chrystal, Cai Jin, Erica, Nicole, Andy and myself to Skewers at Subang Avenue.
Known for their choice cuts of meats smothered with lip-smacking flavours and cooked to tender perfection over searing fire. The flavours infused into the meat are careful blends of fresh ingredients featuring Teriyaki, American BBQ and local Sambal. This results in offerings from the Japanese influenced Teriyaki Chicken to the very Malaysian Sambal Fish Burger to the Italian inspired Neapolitan Cheesy Meatballs. There’s something here to suit almost everyone!

A good start to the meal.Fried Red Beancurd Chicken - RM16 - tender bite sized morsels of chicken that go great with beer!Hickory Smoked BBQ Chicken Wings - RM15 - good stuff, don't share this among too many people as 1 wing is definitely not enough. Also goes well with beer.Salted Egg Prawn Fritters - RM18 - a savoury dish that's best washed down with - yes you guessed it - beer!Neapolitan Cheesy Meatballs - RM18 - I luvvvvved this one!Garlic Butter Prawns Pasta - RM23 - succulent prawns coated with a fresh herb, garlic and butter marinade and served with mashed potatoes, fresh garden salad and pasta!Teriyaki Chicken - RM17 - served with steak fries and a garden salad.Minty Lamb - RM24 - served with pilaf rice and butter vegesBeef Bulgogi - Korean style skewer!Lemon Grass Chicken - as very South East Asian dishGrilled Sambal Fish Burger - RM18 - hot and spicy sambal sauce and cheese on top of the fish pattie! I like!Rosemary Beef - RM23 - tender beef pieces marinated in rosemary and served with pilaf rice and grilled cinnamon pineapple rings. Skewer’s is definitely one of the better restaurants in Subang Jaya and is suitable for family outings, a casual meal, happy hours or even catching a game of football on the projector screen. Parking is a breeze as the building is not fully occupied at the moment.
