[Special Event]
Kronenbourg 1664 (K1664) celebrated its launch in Malaysia with a party on 1 December 2010 for the media and trade partners at The Hill, Damansara Heights, Kuala Lumpur.
I arrived on time and was ushered to the bar upstairs and treated to loads of bottles of Kronenbourg 1664 (served by really cute promoter girls in eye-catching red, white and blue uniforms complete with a sparkly beret!) and delicious French canapes.
Kronenbourg 1664 (bottled lager) is smooth and has a tiny bit of sweetness in it! Definitely French as the level of refinement is simply extraordinary! The ladies would love this as the normal bitter aftertaste is not so strong.
Next it was over to the bar downstairs for Kronenbourg 1664 draught! Now this I liked even more than the bottled K1664! Somehow the draught left a stronger aftertaste while remaining smooth and easy to drink! The rest of the night was a blur of drinking, trying to shoot some photos, watching a French themed fashion show at a well put together event complete with beautiful brand ambassadors and a live band.
K1664 is definitely a welcome addition to Carlsberg Malaysia’s growing portfolio! Looking forward to having a couple of pints of the K1664 draught at my usual drinking holes!
