As a mark of respect for the passing of Julia Chuah, there will be none of the regular daily posts today besides this tribute.
[Post will be updated as more details become available]
Julia Chuah Sheau Yen, a law graduate, model and actress who appeared in Malaysian TV series Homecoming and Getting Together passed away on Saturday under highly controversial circumstances.
Although we were merely acquaintances through mutual friends and had only met a handful of times, I still regard this incident as a tragedy and a big loss to the industry. My heartfelt condolences to her family and friends.
Read the article in The Star and you will find several inconsistencies with the story. The sad fact about investigations in our beloved country is that in most cases the truth will be covered up with the final outcome skewed to favour the party which pays the ‘MIB’ more money.
I strongly urge anyone who knows what actually transpired to share it with us so the truth of the matter will be known. It’s the least we can do to honour her memory.
Rest in peace Julia. We’ll miss you.
Read the news from The Star below but take it with a pinch of salt as I find several inconsistencies with the story.

Fall killed actress, say cops
By STEVEN DANIEL
KUALA LUMPUR: The post-mortem report on the death of a part-time model and actress who had fallen off the 12th floor of a condominium here suggests there was no foul play.
City CID chief Senior Asst Comm II Datuk Ku Chin Wah said the results showed that 31-year-old Julia Chuah Sheau Yen died as a result of shock haemorrhage due to multiple injuries consistent with the fall.
“Doctors did not find any marks on her body to suggest any sign of a struggle before she fell,” he said.
Her remains were claimed by family members from the Universiti Malaya Medical Centre mortuary yesterday morning.
Chuah had acted in a local Chinese drama series and several Malay movies.
SAC Ku said a 36-year-old photographer – believed to have been Chuah’s boyfriend – who was in the condominium at the time of her fall had been remanded for six days until Friday.
He also confirmed there was an eyewitness who claimed to have seen Chuah holding onto an Astro satellite dish on the 10th floor shouting for help for a few minutes before plunging to her death.
Chuah’s body landed in the parking area of the Pantai Hill Park condominium in Pantai at 5pm on Saturday.
SAC Ku said investigations had revealed that Chuah was about to move out to another apartment she had recently purchased following a possible break-up with her boyfriend.
Neighbours said that Chuah returned from England a month ago after completing her studies and had lived with the man in the condominium since.
